I would ask why our business team aren't doing likewise? Some very cheap hospitality on sale in Ayr.

I was providing context because he (mistakenly) said that the Club had budgeted for breakeven. Do you accept, given the factual context I have given you, that the "punt on promotion" was not taken by TJF or the Trustees? And yet no such offer was made to the previous board. Because they pretended the problem didn't exist. The board that replaced them, and the one with fan representation, did not pretend the problem didn't exist. It acknowledged it, sought investment and secured it.  I have never at any point said on any level that TJF nor Trustees have taken a " punt on promotion" - it was a direct Quote from a Club Director justifying our losses - and frankly anyone saying this should not be on the Board The Board have two main functions 1.The Safety & Wellbeing of Staff & Supporters 2.The Financial Stability of the Club TJF - Trustees whatever shape they are going by - have one function - to ensure the Board complies with 1&2 - any Board or Director who is not ensuring these things happen has to be removed The Mess that the Accies & Morton are now in is a direct result of not ensuring 1&2 - we are only not in there position through the luck of Donald Mclymont turning up with £1MN at the right time - so lets not kid ourselves on Fan Ownership had anything to do with it Now the core issue is TJF call the shots - the other Trustee via the Jags Trust is a moribund organisation - they wont go against what TJF says However in Order to ensure 1&2 - we need radical change to personal & culture - that doesn't suit a lot of people on the Board - TJF & plenty of Posters on this Forum - they are happy with the Status Quo - even if it means the Club is at risk TJF are fully aware of the challenges in 1&2 but don't take action ( either via not grasping the scale of the problem or the changes impacting on various comfort zones)  The original concept was a Skills Based Board - we don't have that on any level - or the quality to drive us forwards - Directors either have to step down - or be removed if we are going to ensure 1&2 - and I know the Board closely monitor all Fans Forums - I'm happy to say it directly to them We go up - then its a whole New Ball Game - we don't the decisions made by TJF will dictate where we are over the next few Years - there is No Tranche 3 - 100% TJF or Trustees have never argued running up losses for "Taking a Punt on Promotion" but they are certainly taking a massive punt if they don't demand major changes on how & who runs the Club - if they don't take action on any deviance from points 1&2 its a dereliction of duty on there part  For Board Directors - strict compliance with Points 1&2 are part of there Fiduciary & Legal Duties
