Julie Ann
another punfest coming up probably not a bad idea. it might take away from the embarrassment of collecting jumble. certainly not the message coming from the meet the board night the other week. but hey, what's new? "we're fine, we're in the shite, we're fine, we're in the shite", etc, etc, etc. maybe we'll get emails coming soon from the nigerian prince that's just become a director
JAGZ1876
Is it not enough that we spend our hard earned at the gate and in the club shop, but now they want the shirts off our backs as well.
Rid Skwerr
Do I hear the sound of barrel-bottoms being scraped? Are we really that goosed that we need a charity clothes collection to keep us afloat? Not great for the image of a full-time, "professional" football club. lennythistle
Club advertised this prior to the Falkirk game, it's old news. Don't really see what the problem is. We help a charity and can earn some cash for the club.
thistle4tw
There is no real problem with this but it does look quite desperate if this is how we are trying to raise our profits
potty trained
Sweet Jesus, what a bunch of fckin knicker wetters we have as fans... Did you's even read the article? The Jags are asking all fans to fill bags with unwanted clothes, hats, bags, belts, curtains, towels and bed linen in support of a Rag Bag Sports Fundraising scheme. The Club will receive £400 per tonne. PER TONNE!!! By the way: The 'Rag Bag' recycling scheme has been developed to provide regular fundraising for schools, clubs, nurseries and various organisations UK Wide. How's about congratulating The Club for assisting Rag Bag?

Dark Passenger
Did you's even read the article? Yeah. The club is attempting to raise money for Partick Thistle FC, not Rag Bag which pays out cash to clubs (usually local sports clubs as opposed to professional teams) that hand in textyles to be recycled. Julie Ann
Hard-up Partick Thistle look out the ragbags to raise much-needed funds If the fans bring along their unwanted clothes too it all adds up. Every penny helps us forgive me for misunderstanding. these bits didn't help

There's a more serious undertone to this; we've recently been told that the loss of the Warriors' cash is a blow, but not a crippling one and yet here we are reading that we're so skint that the club has resorted to asking the fans to donate junk to raise funds. What is the real state of our finances? Has Mr Beattie been telling little white lies again?

Dark Passenger
Lets just clarify... The Club will receive £400 per TONNE of clothes... Per Tonne! I caught that the first time. Perhaps someone at the club should have a word with someone at the Glaswegian regarding the tone of the piece. It doesn't read that the club is syupporting a charity, rather we're that rooked that we're having to send our players home for jumble because every little penny helps.
