I did not include Johnny Buckley, as I saw him as a winger. Four left to identify.

ClydebankJag
Simple one, when the Jags won the 1st division in 1975/76 it earned us a tournament invitation; - name the tournament - name the teams taking part - give the Jags scores in the matches they played - say who won the tournament If you know (cos I don't) can you tell me who scored the Jags goals please. Bit of a blank with me but I can mind a pre season tournament at Ibrox about that time. So I'll say Jags, rangers and two from Down South. Guessing Arsenal and Newcastle and rangers won the competition?
Jaggernaut
And Dixie wins it. Your question! Edited to add: I should look more closely! I knew there was somebody else...... John Gibson! Edited to add: Ah, neither a centre forward nor a striker, but a great wee winger nonetheless. JeanieD
Jim Melrose scored for us I think ................... My questions are gash but here goes: Its another 70s question so sorry to the young supporters: In the 1975/76 season when we played St. Mirren at Love street - what was happened that was unusual? potty trained
According to a st mirren supporting mate... St mirren were on the up with a young team playing good football. Ferguson spent the week building it up slating thistles strong arm tactics. With bertie giving it back, the talk in the press generated a 10000 crowd, higher than their usual 2500. Hansen scored one of our goals in a 3.2 win with fergie and auld nearly coming to blows on the touch line. A week later they beat us 3.1 at firhill. Tho I'm not sure of this as it was the first season of the new 1st division. We played each other 3 times. We also played them in the spring(?) cup group stages.
