The truth is that there never could have been a partition of Palestine by ethically acceptable means. Israel was created through terror and it needs terror to cover-up its core immorality. Whenever there is a glimmer of stability, the state - Israeli state not the Jews - orders a targeted assassination or act of violence. It does this knowing full well that this brings not security but more violence so as to keep the country in a warlike state, e.g. conscription, huge IDF, weapons systems etc. Israel's unilateralism and the cycle of violence nourish one another. Meanwhile, and this is where you're maybe conveniently forgetting that Israeli terrorists brutally murdered British troops during the army's time of occupation, it shouldn't be forgotten that the very creation of Israel required an act of terror. In 1948, most of the non-Jewish indigenous people were forcibly cleansed (removed) from the part of Palestine which became Israel. This action was carefully planned. Without it, no state with a Jewish majority and character would have been possible. Since 1948, the "Israeli Arabs", those Palestinians who avoided expulsion, have suffered continuous discrimination. Indeed, many have been internally displaced, ostensibly for "security reasons", but really to acquire their lands for settlement for Jews as part of their expansion plans. Take a look at the map provided for evidence of this fact. For the record, I personally don't blame those of the Jewish faith for this, more the politicians of the state of Israel. Bit like blaming everyone in Britain for sinking the General Belgrano! Don't know where this will lead but thought worth having a try on Siege Siege 00's behalf, my earlier posts obviously refer. To be honest, he's not the nuttiest on here... The more the merrier IMO; keeps it real and keeps it fresh. Also confirms that the Thistle support comes from all walks of life and forms a broad church. (Actually used that argument - broad church not being a Jags fan - prior to being expelled from the Labour Party. They lost me, got Mike, later Lord, Watson so curtains to that one!) I've had a few personal emails from Siego and he's in rude health. Every message ends with reference to the team and the need to stay focused on winning. At the end of the day the guy is one of us and we even raised a glass to him in the S&G yesterday before the game. Maybe we could all get them so as to stick it to those who won't let him back on the forum. Come on Admin' what's happening? Tomorrow I'll be posting my usual "nothing reported back" update. Not exactly great PR and if he were allowed back on, why not for a probationary period? Once the posts started going a bit wayward then explain why (most on the forum end up doing that anyway!) then threaten a further ban. If the terms of his return are not acheived then pull the plug. To me and probably a few others, it seems the wee guy has served his time and, as I keep saying, from emails I've received, he's one of us: Jags daft but with a soft spot for washed out porn stars and Kleenex. But to be honest, even his porn stars are politically correct. Quite a reasoned argument IMO where the pitch and grass are paramount and tungsten is wasted. Also suggestions that he may have a soft spot for West Ham which set me off... But all things considered , the wee guy is seriously brand new and itching to make a return to our ill-informed and petty discussions. Throughout our exchanges - and I understand he's having off the radar email discussions with one or two others (names withheld at their request) - he wishes everyone well and remains solidly behind the team. He's basically Jags nuts and, as I keep saying, please remember he's a student in a foreign country and English is not his first language; but more importantly... he's one of us! I've lost count of how long he's been banned for or since Admin' have been contacted regarding a return - phased, with or without shackles, or under whatever restrictions. This is starting to look at censorship in the extreme. As the Chinese artist Ai Weiwe said: Censorship is saying: 'I'm the one who says the last sentence. Whatever you say, the conclusion is mine.' But the internet is like a tree that is growing. The people will always have the last word - even if someone has a very weak, quiet voice. Such power will collapse because of a whisper. So the forum could be without rulers, the first anarcho-syndicalist forum in the history of Partick Thistle? Siego could register under a different name and come back onto the forum. Our Mad Max in a cyber forum without rules, law or order? (You know, all the stuff that makes you chase Mrs Jaggy round the house like Benny Hill on speed.) Out of interest, is there a difference between admin' and mods i.e. who grants access etc. Might be the case that I could drop Siego a line to re-register (different username) and then return to my plans for turning Ibrox into a GLBT Nazi-theme nightclub (free riding crop and gimp mask at the door). You'd get in free of course... just show them your Union Jack boxers and remind them who's the daddy and suggest that they don't own the flag.
