lady-isobel-barnett
A coach would need to average 60mph to manage a (just) sub-3hrs time. Well that's just about right. Average 65 mph to Carlisle and 55mph from the M6 the last 3rd of journey. Anyway it's taking me a good bit longer.
The Sunnylaw Jag
If a coach travelling at 65mph and then at 55mph and takes 3hours. What is the distance travelled? Crikey this is getting to be a bit like being back at school with all this arithmetic.

The Sunnylaw Jag
By the way, is this the longest close-season ever? It seems ages since the Dumbarton game.

p12tfc
I'm probably going to drive to this one so if anyone wants a lift give me a shout. £10 for fuel is all I'd want
cjptfc
I'm looking forward to Saturday. Although its just really a fitness exercise, it'll be good to see how he shapes the team up.

Charlie Endell
The friendly in Durham has the added benefit of getting me out of Glasgow on the day of the knuckle-draggers' big day oot. Magic.

Hey I haven't even taken in the projected wind factor, road reports, horsepower requirements for Beattock Summit yet. Think we'll see a few of our trialists on Saturday. Looking forward to that. Remember seeing Sinclair for the first time at Blyth and was impressed with his pace. Fairly obvious even then that we'd probably made a really good signing. Charlie Endell
From my real ale swiggin' mole three pubs definitely worth a visit are The Market Tavern, The Half Moon (draft Bass at all times) and The Dun Cow. He usually gives the Shakespearian and the Swan & 3 Cygnets a miss as "too studenty" but I'm guessing that they'll also be fine hostelries out of term. I've just completed my pub homework - the five you've mentioned plus the Woodman Inn (highest score of Durham pubs on beerintheevening) are on my itinerary - should be enough to be getting on with. The Swan & Three Cygnets is a Sam Smith's pub, which usually means a decent pint at a cheap price - it also has a beer terrace, which could be welcome as it's expected to be mid twenties. lady-isobel-barnett
I'm never that clever with timetables and the like but it looks to me that the buses out from the town and back are the Nos 20 & 20A and not the No 220 in yon directions thingy. Worth double checking anyway
