The BBC's preview of tomorrow's game against Morton suggests 'Ben Richards-Everton could make his debut'. Where to direct the despair? At our 'national' broadcaster's familiar incompetence, or at the club for telling NOBODY what's going on?

Why should the club tell the BBC. You know that BRE is at Airdrie - who told you ?

Incidentally, Sky on Saturday said that he could make his debut vs Hamilton, having previously said that he was going on loan to Airdrie. Seems to me that your despair should be directed at lazy journalism.

Maybe the BBC could tell us if Seabourne will be in the team. And if he missed out on Saturday because he was injured or was there another reason? There's been nothing from the manager or the club about Seabourne's non-appearance other than he "drops out".

And Sean Welsh...when if ever is he likely to be back? I started the Sean Welsh thread back in April because I thought it a bit strange that the club had never updated the fans about the Club Captain. He was 6 weeks away at the start of the season but is now out long term.

I don't have any particular expectations that someone tasked in the BBC with providing basic news on various League Cup ties will have the knowledge or interest to ask incisive questions but it is a bit disappointing that our club doesn't provide information of genuine interest to supporters,

Does it really matter if the BBC are unaware that Richards-Everton is at Airdrie? They're more likely to be befuddled wondering where the "H" in Doolan has got to.

We don't do PR at Firhill, which is made all too obvious on far too regular a basis. Even so with or without our Club's PR support an agency like the BBC should be able to know what team has what player. I very much doubt anyone connected to Thistle misinformed the press/media by saying we were toying with starting B R-E so I can only assume the BBC are once again guilty of shoddy reporting (journalism too grand a word for that lot). The very fact that they appear ignorant of a Ben Richards-Everton playing for Airdrie on Saturday only goes to show the contempt they have for all but a handful of pet clubs.

The Evening Times has cleared that one up for us
