  2. Can absolutely see the arguments both ways on pricing. Total overall cash receipt should be somewhat higher if 5% less buy a season ticket, but the 95% who do pay 10% more. However: Those who ultimately pay for the higher priced season ticket may take longer to be able and/or willing to afford to do so, thus negatively affecting cashflow just at the time when we want to be making these vital early signings. The feelgood factor of an increased number of season ticket sales would be lost. Spinning this as "higher season ticket income" does not come across so well. The more people buy, the more others want to buy. Therefore on balance, and especially bearing in mind the 10% increase last season (when there was a genuine financial emergency), I think that the freeze is the right call this year. Having said that I am neither a mathematician nor an economist and I appreciate that alternative views may reasonably be held. The freeze does not prevent fans eager to provide additional financial support using other means of doing so.
  3. We increased prices by 10% last year.
  4. Dundee’s defender Lee Ashcroft is the latest name linked on P&B. Sure I’d seen his name mentioned earlier this season.
  5. It’s a difficult one as while I can see your point- we are still in the middle of a cost of living crisis and it maybe difficult for a lot of people to afford higher prices. The club are bringing out the new Partick Thistle lotto so it might be that people who wish to donate more can join that https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/sign-up-for-the-new-ptfc-lotto-1000-jackpot-and-nine-guaranteed-winners-every-month/
  6. Depends on the elasticity of demand based on price - or something like that.
  7. If the prices were higher club gets more Β£ and Doolan gets a bigger budget.
  8. Do you have the goals conceded for the goalies to get the full picture?
  9. I suppose Falkirk have been in a position to sell knowing they were getting promoted for several weeks before the season ended. However, I would like to see us get ours on sale as early as possible once the new ticketing partner officially takes over.
  10. There’s a new ticketing system coming in which will make it easier to buy tickets, hence the slight delay
  11. That’s Falkirk sold an impressive 3500 already. can’t help but feel the club are missing out on a trick and a whole lot of revenue the longer it takes for them to be released
  12. Short clip here, full reveal at 9am on Friday. https://www.facebook.com/partickthistlefc/videos/1176289220281405/
  13. Looks like new kit getting revealed tomorrow morning πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
  14. Well done to both Allan and Alistair. Joining at an interesting time with what looks like a very tight division so potentially our best chance at automatic promotion but that means decisions to be made - do we "push the boat out" to try and get to the promised land or stick to a more cautious financial plan and hope the manager can get everything (and a bit more) out of the squad? As I say interesting times but looking forward to it (get those season tickets on sale).
  15. The results of the inaugural Club Board Fan Representative Elections at Partick Thistle have been verified and confirmed. 991 beneficiaries took part in the elections, with a turnout of 42%. The votes were cast as follows: Allan McGraw – 616 votes Alistair Gray – 394 votes John Kane – 332 votes Gary Murray – 236 votes Stephen Silver – 157 votes Charles Kerr Bryson – 135 votes The two candidates with the highest tally of votes are Allan McGraw and Alistair Gray. Both Allan and Alistair have confirmed they accept the PTFC Trust's nomination to the Club Board. The Club has been notified of their election, and is now progressing with the on-boarding process to add them to the leadership group ahead of what looks to be a busy and exciting summer. Congratulations to Allan and Alistair. The trustees look forward to working more closely with you both. We hope that the four other candidates find a way to get more involved in making fan-owned Partick Thistle a success, as they all bring different skills, experiences and a commitment to representing their fellow fans.
  16. Just to say thanks in advance to all those who get involved and help with all those jobs that might seem small but are so important and benefit the rest of us. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/can-you-help-ptfc-this-summer-2/
  17. At one point JAMIE SNEDDON was all-time #1 in clean-sheet ratio terms (20+ apps) but ultimately fell back to 6th as the magic dried up. Annual update applied for all keepers in history in our fully sortable table... The goalies' appearances & clean-sheets β†’
  18. Just imagine if Bannigan had missed a chance like that.
  19. Sorry.! Alan Hansen would often begin an after dinner speech with the pronouncement: "when I was a small boy I didn't know whether I wanted to be a footballer or run away to join the circus...At thistle i got to do both..." Again an image put to him by the same sports writer...
  20. First Santa, then the tooth fairy and now this ☹️
  21. I think that underlines the point that he's not great at penalties. If the keeper guesses the right way and still can't keep them out it kind of suggests he'll struggle to ever make a penalty save. Sneddon appeared to be better at penalties largely due to his goal line antics but once players had figured that our he wasn't any better than Mitchell
  22. John Lambie would be the first to admit that he never uttered the "Tell him he's Pele..." line. The "quote" was, in fact, the work of a sports journalist who wanted a funny punchline to an interview with JL.
