  1. Someone needs to have a word with McMillan on that front.
  2. I said at the time that they might go in on Sinclair with a 'reducer' early in the match. And so it came to pass. I've noticed a few teams deploy this to the desired effect. Hope he's flying on Wednesday as he had a hand in both goals against Morton last time out.
  3. A fine is automatic, will probably be more as a result of the fan(dan) who got up close and personal with the QoS players. Even if it's four figures that's a big deal if you're one of our £200 a week guys and it's been top sliced out of the title win bonus.
  4. McMillan Tweeting that he's in his sickbed so must be doubtful for Wednesday.
  5. We are a very young side who have been coached in short passing & retaining possession so asking them to go long as a whole game plan was never going to work. Watching twenty guys running after a ball, which was what most of the game comprised yesterday, was not what I expected since I understood QoS were not a hoofball side. I haven't seen the lofting of ball from KO followed by a charge after it since Dickie Bunnet and Lambie and hoped I'd seen the last of it. Onto Wednesday, by which time my hangover might just about have cleared.
  6. Earplugs are in whilst MissusB and the mother-in-law are, at my request, crouched over their cauldron uttering curses and speaking in tongues in the Jaggy cause of influencing the outcome of the next two matches. Magic!
  7. currently a strong flurry of snow here in the far east.
  8. Plundered from Scotch TV, it's all very concisely explained here.
  9. Sid James and the guy out of the hokey-cokey, I think.
  10. They won two of their games since Evans departure, losing the third yesterday. I didn't think that they were particularly poor though they clearly missed Scougall. We just played them off the park.
  11. Yip, rumoured to be some big stars, past and present. Could be a game changer for soccer, for Spain and beyond.
  12. Might get a whole lot quieter on the Iberian peninsula if there is a financial implosion. Added to that Dr Fuentes appears to be prepared to name the footballers who allegedly doped to save his skin. Scandal.
  13. Seem to remember Lambie deploying Gordon Rae as a striker in the dying minutes of a game on at least one occasion. (Oh dear, won't be able to get to sleep for 'he's fat, he's round, he's worth a million pound' in my head).
  14. Indeed. Which isn't the aim, it's clearly stated that the money raised is going straight to players wages not into a fund to save the club. A point that seems to be lost on a few here (and on DAFC net).
  15. I could be equally selective and put up Coyle as a counter argument - modest success with a yo-yo SPL/SFL side that did well in the Championship and EPL for a while at least. Equally, there are players who were deemed not good enough for the top SPL sides at the time - Maloney, McCormack for example - that have done well on the playing side in these leagues.
  16. Or, if you're a Jags fan 'if I had a fiver for every cab driver that has professed a soft spot for Thistle, I'd have my own effing chauffer driven Bentley.'
  17. Would have to be clear that it was costs of admissions equivalent to numbers of paying customers, i.e., not including U-16's. But a good gesture and perhaps the sort of initiative clubs should be working on together as a matter of course rather than only when clubs are in crisis.
  18. Not looking good guys. Took me three hours to get through here to the far east this morning and it's mostly blizzardous. There's a fair covering of snow as well.
  19. Decent performance considering the age of the team and no natural leader/motivator on the park. As the senior professional, Son of Joe was at times petulant when he wasn't getting the ball passed right to his head or feet. Didn't lead by example which was disappointing.
  20. At the time my view was hook Forbes, move Craigen and put Dools down the left but mine's is a fans-eye view not a coaches. I think it adds to Archie/Shaggy's cache that they made the right substitutions at the right time, something their predecessors struggled with at times. Until Elliot came on we were toiling a bit. Sinclair came into the game a bit more after the subs were made, until then he was having a bit of a howler which I had put down to the elbow in the face he got early in the first.
  21. He did more than well, his contribution changed the game and secured the points. His work and eventual cross for Dools goal was class.
  22. Many of those running football clubs and Scottish football clubs in particular obviously didn't even get this far into Business for Dummies.
  23. ...shouldn't have baths. In other news, Masterton has stepped down.
  24. I had no idea the Scotch Government was in the business of providing direct advice to football clubs about lowering their electricity bills. It is indeed true that every day is a school day.
