  1. Just when you think they've almost clocked the issue for ST holders... I'm hoping it's an accidental omission rather than being a blanket £99 price.
  2. Can any people who have signed up for TAG give an opinion as to whether it's worth it? I initially signed-up as it would be a good way to support the club financially and get some more interaction despite not being able to attend games very often. Apart from the obvious financial support to the club would people recommend it as good value for money? And, more importantly, have all the issues that appeared to happen with it at the start been ironed out yet?
  3. Yip, this would be perfect. Simple yet perfect. With white shorts and hooped socks please.
  4. Isn't the cheapest PATG ticket £22? So a ST holder would have expected to be getting £22 value for £18.50 when they signed up - justifying the significant initial outlay and the assumption that they will attend every game (even those moved for TV) to realise this value. If they choose the hospitality offer it should therefore be £22 cheaper for ST holders than non-ST holders. Or am I being simple and missing something?
  5. If the SPFL said yes to Hibs last season and are saying no to Sevco this season, without anything having changed in terms of how the money is being used/other courses of income to supplement this, then I can fully see Sevco's (and Hibs') point - it looks like the SPFL is simply trying to milk them of some additional money.
  6. I had never heard of Frans before we signed him. Or Osman. Or Seaborne. I'm pretty happy for our transfer policy to continue as is.
  7. I disagree - it really shouldn't be difficult or complex to make the price differential the exact same as buying a PATG ticket to ensure ST holders get the same discount on this as they're getting in general.
  8. If we really think we're capable of being a top six team, and of achieving 7th, then we need to be able to win at Ross County. And I think we will.
  9. Excellent - the three Saturdays where I already have plans are the two home games plus away to Ross County, while I'm free on the dates of Hamilton and Motherwell away which I have no intention of going to. Although that may change if we can send Motherwell to the playoffs...
  10. It's an interesting point. My view is that where a penalty has been awarded a goal-scoring opportunity has technically not been denied, simply delayed. The maximum player punishment should therefore be a booking unless the challenge itself would have warranted a red card elsewhere on the pitch. This draws a very fine line between a "last man" challenge inside and outside the box, where the latter does deny the opportunity and would therefore be a red card. Nonetheless I think it would still be fairer.
  11. At the risk of being a happy clapper, Archie-lover, mediocrity-accepter, I don't give a **** how we stay up as long as we stay up.
  12. Same team as Saturday - go at it from the start and see if we can sneak something. If we go a couple of goals down use the subs and ease off a bit. Our team is young and fit - barring injuries they should be able to cope with two games over four days.
  13. Today would be a great day to finally gub Celtic. Saturday is going to be massive...
  14. This. How about an end-of-season collaboration session with supporters groups to set aims for the following season (collaborating with customers is common in many other businesses I work with) and then keeping progress against these aims refreshed on the website - along with linking initiatives (theme days, reciprocal away support agreements etc...) with the achievement of these aims? Example - if the fans were consulted and it was agreed to aim for 4,500 average attendance, and the website showed that this was currently 4,200, it may encourage some fans who were part of the consultation to attend more regularly. The consultation may even have unearthed some additional fan-led activities to help achieve this aim.
  15. As an (albeit emotionally invested) customer the club needs to give me reason to spend more of my money on it. At the very least I need some transparency on how/why they need more money before I start alienating more friends by dragging them to Firhill.
  16. If Scottish society remains as bad with booze as some on here are suggesting then why don't we just ban alcohol entirely? Or do people genuinely think that football fans are either less civilized than others or that football, above any other pursuit, brings out the worst in people? Because otherwise there is no sense in maintaining a ban solely at the football.
  17. I mean underground water-levels - i.e. there is more moisture around the Firhill area in general therefore the ground is less fertile for grass growth and more susceptible to flooding.
  18. Are there not two problems with the Firhill pitch - both the antiquated USH and the fact that it sits below the canal? I'm sure the water-level under the pitch has been the cause of most of the bad drainage in the past which no doubt has an impact on the condition of the pitch through the season. If so then, although I'm not a huge fan, an artificial pitch (if we could afford one) could be an improvement. Wasn't the reason given for not progressing with this previously the Warriors tenancy money - not such an issue anymore.
  19. Agree with this - what the club has done is good however a gesture of even providing a small cash sum/some food items would also be nice. I'm personally still in shock that someone would rob a food bank.
  20. Agree, not sure he'd be a credible transplant donor...
  21. I think a lot of it could be summed up in three ways: parents trying to live their life through their kids and therefore encouraging them to join an OF team parents wanting to be billy (or paddy) big baws in the pub and be able to brag to their mates that their kid plays for an OF team kids wanting to be billy (or paddy) big baws at school and choosing the short term prestige (sic) of playing for the OF as opposed of the long term career prospects of playing at a different academy
  22. With that team we should be looking for 7th with a cushion to 8th as a minimum (and really, given where we are, we won't get higher than that so we should stop talking about top 6 now) and an eye to building for next year - playing some more youngsters and scouting players to replace those we expect to lose. I'd be happy with that. And winning the Scottish Cup.
