  1. Cheers - I was looking at them a couple of years ago when compiling my Christmas list but they never had anything approaching Thistle colours (they had a Watford one but can't remember what was wrong with that). I'll bookmark that for this year.
  2. Got to play the strongest team available - I want an unbeaten run to defend when we start in the SPL.
  3. There's a place on Glasgow Green (in Templeton Building) called R.Vallar Framers.
  4. Falkirk, first game is up there with mine as well. Bricking it before the game - what would the season bring? To be 2-0 up in about 10 minutes was joy. To not have looked back since then is unbelievable. Ramsdens semi at Cowdenbeath was special as well.
  5. Anyone else feel quite comfortable that we now have a club chairman willing to tell the truth rather than try to fob us off with 'all will become clear at the end of the season' or something like that? He was asked the question - he answered it. It's not as if he just happened to drop it into conversation. At the 'meet the board' night a couple of seasons ago, when we were 200k down, he said that nothing was out of bounds and he'd answer everything as honestly as possible. Happy to see this honesty continue - don't think Beattie comes out of this badly at all.
  6. This team is bigger than the sum of its individual parts - while I'd have been happy to have them both around for next seasons assault on the SPL, I'm also comfortable that they will be replaced. The problem for both of them is that they have both developed at Thistle, but they have developed as part of the team. They are going to need to develop again at Utd - will the fans give them time? I don't give a fcuk any more - after that photo they are as good as United players in my mind. Hated seeing Jackie with his scarf when he left, but that is something else again. Still amazed at how lazy and cheap the scouting at Utd is. Our scouts found these guys in amateur football and we took a punt on them. To just raid your old club in the hope that you can find a like-for-like replacement for SPL standard players that are leaving seems nieve to me. Can't see this working well for anybody really.
  7. It's what I was saying in work - they've had a good season and now will have Scottish clubs come in for them. However, stay and have another successful season in the SPL with us and you'll have league 1/championship clubs come in for you. Then the sky's the limit and you don't stagnate on a 3 year contract with a team that's cutting back.
  8. £1 to have your picture with the 1st Division Trophy during the Firhill Cup (assuming we are presented with it at the Dunfermiline game the day before, and nobody drops it off the top deck during our victory parade around Maryhill). Also - did anybody get one of the team photos a couple of seasons back, where you could get your head imposed over the top of somebody else's? Were they any good? Perhaps repeat this for the trophy presentation pic (head could be over Jordan McMillan - no offence to the guy, but I can think who else might be in the pic that you'd want to replace).
  9. Can somebody please confirm what number Tidser was wearing on Wednesday? After Prick Young's recent ****-fests on open all mics, I'd been looking forward to seeing the top player in this division. Anonymous probably doesn't cover it.
  10. Not sure if I don't believe it or just don't want to believe it. Just seems really lazy scouting from an SPL team. Or maybe just lazy journalism. Lets be honest - Falkirk, Livi, Morton and Dunfermline all have decent players that could do a job in the SPL, as do Dundee (though obviously an issue there!) and a few others in the 'bottom 6'. And thats just Scottish teams. Nothing against those mentioned, but to raid your former club for four signings?
  11. '...we know we won’t be champions until our name has a little ‘C’ written beside it’. Brilliant. Love that.
  12. Sure it'll turn up in a Ramsdens soon enough....

Think people are focusing too much on the fact that the club currently provides a matchday text service, records, edits and posts a highlights package and has seasons of this stuff hosted and available on demand (among other things) and they don't charge a penny for it.
  14. I hate penalty shoot outs, and to be honest when Conrad step up for his, I was thinking that if anybody was going to miss one, he would be the one who has the fan relationship and the personality to bounce back quickest. I have genuinely always liked him as I always felt he was giving 100%.

I'd probably agree with people who say £60/£120 is a bit steep, and if the only option was to pay it in a lump sum I doubt i'd be signing up for it. However £6/£12 a month hopefully makes it affordable to most and i've signed up at that. I pay £4.10 a day to park at my work, so i'm not going to begrudge Thistle another £6 a month for the TAG Plus (as a ST holder). Also, my son gets to go to games for free so I personally feel I owe something back for that!
  16. I've not checked to see if this has been factored in, but you can get a 'kids go free' ticket for up to two kids with an adult ticket. Worst case - you'll have to pay for one kid, best case - you can farm him out to another Jags fan for them to get a 'kids go free' as well. You can use the saving for a taxi.
  17. Think Morton will finish with 70pts so next two league games are vital. In coming to my conclusion I've predicted a home win next Wednesday.
  18. Think we've been a bit spoiled this season and the OP probably reflects that. Any other season and this would be the biggest game bar none - a cup final is the same for any team no matter what league they are in. The fact that we are also in the middle of a promotion battle means that every game we play is the biggest game, so the final doesn't seem as important. However, we should be greedy and want the lot - the club, players and supporters deserve it.
  19. Did Tommy Stewart not leave saying he was disappointed at the lack of ambition at the club and that he thought we'd be challenging for the league, when really we were finishing mid table? Or something like that. Wonder if he's been following our progress this season ...
  20. I just put a sign on ours telling people to put their Barrs cans in the (reallocated) bin beside the recycling (I've stuck a poster on it explaining, incase they just think I'm the anti-gore).
  21. Yeah - the limited selection has always bothered me but I couldn't see past Erskine this month anyway. At least it's something new (and positive!) for this season.
  22. Somebody's been reading page 3 of The Sun!
  23. Hamilton result, coupled with Falkirk getting a confidence boosting last minute goal, should set up a good game at Cappielow on Saturday. If the boys manage to see off Dumbarton, anything other than a Morton win on Saturday will see us return to the top. Pleasing.
  24. Yeah - I was thinking some of their old timers wouldn't like the two games in quick succession. I'm sure It was off the back of a midweek game that Dumbarton beat them 3-0 at Cappielow. Dropping points in either (or both) of these games would be nice.
