I would just like to state that I actively and viciously dislike Cammy Bell.

The date is August 3rd 2019 and Edinburgh City/Peterhead welcome Partick Thistle for the opening game of their League 1 campaign.

Fitzpatrick made a massive mistake signing a new contract with us. Should have gone to Hearts or Hamilton where they actually value talented youngsters.

Grade A prick who shouldn't be anywhere near the club.

It was a howler because if he had any awareness he would have just left it to go out of play.

This is what the board and the Thistle Da's deserve. Putting one man above the club is coming home to roost.

At least we are continuing playing 'The Partick Thistle way' i.e. absolute turgid, uninspired rubbish. That statement that was thrown out far too quickly after relegation continues to infuriate me.

Mould a team for the league. Have you seen our ability to play anywhere apart from Firhill? We are rubbish and the product for the fans is frankly awful. Fans will be voting with their feet if this continues.

So we now only have 2 centre backs, one of whom isn't match fit because we can't afford to keep/play him. Excellent.

Just our luck that Barnsley got relegated which probably halved the value of him.

Personally I never want to see Abdul Osman step onto the Firhill pitch ever again. He was a disgrace last season.

Seven figure playing budget not transfer budget. Didn't we win the championship with a budget that was at least half that?

Why does he not have a relegation clause? Who sanctioned this? Obviously I'm asking these questions out loud but it strikes me as a ridiculously poor decision. If we can't move him on- or he doesn't sign reduced terms-then we won't be able to get players in.

My review of the players today. Bell- Decent. Not really to blame for the goals. Did nothing wrong. Melbourne- Totally hung out to dry at right back when clearly not suited. Shocking decision from Archibald. O'ware- This guy is excellent and should be captain. McGinty- Abysmal footballer. We seemed to have signed him because he played with Balatoni in a relegated side from the fifth tier in England. The least imposing 6 foot 4 footballer I've ever seen. Careless with and without the ball. Penrice- I think my Gran is a better athlete and she is 86. What do the sport scientists actually do? Spittal- Par for the course, totally innocuous. Gordon- Things have gone rapidly downhill after the opening six minutes at Stenny. Slater- One of our better players Erskine- Seems pretty much finished to me. Really struggles to impose himself on the game. Storey- Runs fast down the wing,crosses it and it hits the first man. Repeat for 90 minutes and multiply by 36. Doolan- Forget he is playing these days. Our system of play at the moment makes him fairly useless. Fitzpatrick- Did more in 30 seconds than the rest of our attackers did in the whole game. Major changes needed.

Can they provide it to the fans to make our viewing experience more bearable? A bottle a game should do it.

I believe Elliot is suspended for the first league game so I imagine it will be some sort of 352 with Spittal and maybe Melbourne as wing backs tomorrow.

Fair play to Storey for taking a wage cut, shows a bit of hunger. Now we just need to play him through the middle and hope he can produce.

Sneddon was very impressive. Very good with the ball at his feet and enjoyed him actually aiming at a specific player when he was kicking out rather than just lumping it aimlessly.

If Banzo is fully fit then we have the best midfielder in the division. Deserves a bit of luck so hopefully the injury issues are behind him and he can kick on again.
