  1. Our wide play from Cardle, Williamson and Robson is more productive than in past seasons, but apart from Gordon we lack finishers.
  2. I have not listened again to the spoken interview on JagZone to check (listening once is torture enough), but my recollection of Caldwell's comments on Austin is much more positive. It seemed to be a matter of checking out some details of past injuries, but with an expectation of saying "Yes" rather than "No". The "nothing is particularly close" comment came after that and I took it as "nothing else (ie apart from Austin) is particularly close".
  3. I think he has saved only one for us. I am going totally on memory here, so may be totally wrong, but I think it was a cup win at Firhill against lower league opposition and would not have had much bearing on the final result even if scored. It was a very weak shot hit straight to him and even I could probably have saved it.
  4. Hopefully he will be above everage
  5. A good summary. Apologies to my fellow Jags fans, as I think I jinxed Sean McGinty by praising him in my halftime post. He then felt he had to balance matters up by being rubbish in the second half!
  6. I think I would add Dundee, where the stewarding goes beyond the indifferent to the hostile.
  7. Robson attacking left midfield is the source of most of our chances, so I think we might see him there more often. Getting caught offside rather a lot which hopefully he can correct with more experience of playing there. Williamson perhaps a little fortunate with the goal which was a dink to the back post that sneaked in, but deserved as a reward for a good spell of attacking play. Unlike Penrice/Robson, Williamson is having to cover the right side by himself and was posted missing for their goal.
  8. Disappointing to lose the goal but it was a very good move and well finished. Teams evenly matched with Thistle having slight edge and more chances. Certainly nothing to indicate that the teams are in different divisions. Big Sean strolling it in defence and playing some great balls forward. He really is turning into a player!
  9. Not sure of formation as both Penrice and Robson starting
  10. Mitch Austin is supposed to be a speedy winger. If he changed his surname, he would really tire out the opposition defenders as then he would be ex-Austin. I'll get my coat.
  11. I thought that it was a nice touch by Ryan Williamson to pay tribute to his predecessor at right wingback Christie Elliott by wearing a plaster cast on his hand/arm.
  12. You could always cheer yourself up by going out haunting.
  13. I am sure that this question has been asked in previous seasons, and the answer has been "No", which is a bit of a pain.
  14. I was gutted for Big Sean that there was no Player of the Month award made for April. He would have walked it.
  15. May is on the way out. Going to be replaced by either Johnson or Hunt.
  16. Maybe the same person who leaked the embarrassing statements about Donald Trump by the UK ambassador.
  17. He looked a very good player at around the time when Falkirk had that run to the Cup Final. Strong defender and scored goals too. I can remember hoping that we would try to sign him, but thought that his sights would be set higher (even when we were in the Premier). Is there any particular reason (injury?) why his career has not (yet) blossomed as expected?
  18. You would be hopeless as a judge pronouncing sentence!
  19. The Fox and Sneddon sounds like a good name for a pub for you not to drink in.
  20. Williamson and Penrice would have to work exceptionally hard to provide effective width in that starting line up (though I cannot think of anything better!). Would also like to see Calum Wilson being given an opportunity, either from the start or coming on with a decent chunk of the game still to go (perhaps replacing Harkins).
