  1. Good point, Auld Jag. I've stood down the bottom of the North Stand on many occasions and its pleasing to see the wheelchair users getting a good view and feeling a real integral part of the whole Matchday experience. If anything, at least LSR has allowed fans to demonstrate that the North Stand initiative has been a valuable one. But he could have done it without trying to stir the issue around 'costs'. It's OneThistle after all, not us and them.
  2. The North Stand singing section has been one of the best initiatives at Firhill in recent years. What makes it particularly special is the way it has been led by the fans. Ian, Dave and others deserve to be applauded. Really don't see what the 'issue' is here tbh.
  3. Great news, David Shrigley is a talented guy - love his quirky stuff. I can understand why Nixon was impeached....
  4. Great idea, Ian. Let's celebrate all things Thistle, we have a wonderful history to be proud of. I like the idea of something that appeals to the younger supporters but also honours the older ones. I'm in awe of those fans who have come through the gates for more years than I have been alive. A limited edition 140th third strip, like the 125th silver one but better, would be a great idea.
  5. Logged in to check if Red Monkey had bothered to congratulate O'Donnell for his goal. Particularly after giving him stick on the Forum before. He hasn't. Looks like the simian does not like being proved wrong
  6. I'd like to see Muirhead being given a chance, perhaps coming in for Seabourne; thought he was decent enough on Weds, but Aero deserves a chance to be back on the pitch.
  7. Went for 7th too, seems a decent shout - although after tonight, I hope we end up higher
  8. Thanks for posting that, Rab. Great to see it again
  9. Great night. Thought Fraser, Bannigan and Higgy had them in knots at times. Osman looked cool as a cucumber and Seaborne had a decent partnership with Balatoni. But most of all, pleased to see SOD back to his confident self. Great strike for the deflected OG then nicely taken 4th goal.
  10. Yes, puns should be banned from all public places
  11. Dundee FC are now aware of the planned protest. I doubt they will allow placards to be taken in....
  12. Willjag, no-one doubts the effort it takes to moderate this site. Humour is subjective. What you think is funny, I might not and vice-versa; so if moderators time is limited maybe it would be better to focus on offensive/bickering posts rather than make a judgement about what puns are (or are not) to be allowed? As Jagfox notes, there isn't much direct Club news in the close season. A few people trying to inject a little humour surely cannot be an issue? Life is too short not to be able to smile now and again.
  13. Yes he was too much of a fringe player
  14. Ian, Dave and the other reps who attended the meeting; well done for ensuring some common sense prevailed. Really pleased the North Stand remains red & yellow.
  15. Four-Two, Four-Two, Four-Two. The Cup, Trotter, Thistlenowthistleforever, Javajag.....You boys took one hell of a beating tonight. Archie & Shaggy, you did it. Ya dancer! #wegotthis
  16. Apokachips Now ("I love the smell of vinegar in the morning....")
  17. Nomads like Topcat and Norgethistke have a valid question and deserve to have their opinions heard and treated with respect. JJ has picked up on the concerns, leave it with onethistle to discuss with the club. I look forward to meeting as many Nomads at the Cup Final as I can, assuming i remember to apply for a ticket in time!! S
  18. This. Agree with the very many good points above. This team is playing for each other, for Jackie, for the Club, for the fans. We have strength, depth, flexibility and resilience. Thistle are purring right now.
  19. If you had taken your hat off on Saturday, you would have got a bit wet! I'm proud to help our Club by volunteering alongside Lance, Jim, Dave J, Ian Mac and the many others who are helping bring the onethistle 'Firhill for Thrills' matchday strategy alive. Special shout out to Paul, Gary, Karen (mad welshy), Euan, GettingJaggy, Charlene and Colin for working the queues, JHS concourse and observing in the stands during the game. Bit by bit, we are building up the case for improvements; repainted row numbers, clearer kids zone signage etc. There is a long way to travel yet, but we have enthusiasm to overcome obstacles and some scepticism. Judge us by our continued actions - we all love this club. The fact that Jackie is putting a great product out onto the park always helps. I celebrated some of our goals on Saturday so enthusiastically, I got raised eyebrows from the two North Stand stewards Onethistle are putting in a shift behind rhe scenes; this is not always visible, but that itself is not important. Onwards and upwards.
  20. Happy to help support this; will speak to Lance and Jim on Sat
  21. Top post. Is Willjag just Siggy in disguise?
  22. Just split my sides. Siggy, you can have my Bushmills polo shirt which looks like a rugby shirt; I am THAT rich a gentleman. Norgethistle, you get him a Faroese woolly bunnet and email it to me and I can pass it on to the sigmeister at the next home game Get yourself into the Shed and Potty Trained will introduce to you everyone !
  23. Daxington Preamble, we need tomget this sorted; unacceptable. So that's going into my matchday experience report as an action. Willjag, I was not aware of the Comps issue until Greig/Colin gave me more background on Twitter last night. Again, this will be tackled. Cheers, Sandy
