Presumably the easiest way to clear this issue up is for Mr Beattie to give an unequivocal 'I voted NO' statement when he returns from Spain. Then the Club can pursue a retraction from the Record. And as we have a PR expert at the Club, presumably she can be drafting the statement ready for Beatties return? Sounds all too simple, huh...

Doncaster seems to be vying with Regan to be the biggest fool in the Scottish game right now. Can't they both learn from their mistakes over the past few weeks? If not, they should go with good grace

I'm presuming that Mr Beattie will be happy to answer that question directly at the next 'Meet the Board' evening. Besides by then, no doubt the Club will have contacted the Daily Record to correct their factual inaccuracy (assuming it was indeed incorrect). All still a bit mysterious me thinks...

Phoned this morning to try and book the breakfast deal on Saturday, but it seems bookings are very low so far. If you are thinking of booking, I'd call today else the deal might be withdrawn.

Yoda and Trotter make some interesting observations I wish our latest statement said clearly that we voted NO and that the Daily Record report was factually incorrect. That was all it needed.

Admit it Will, you could be doing a better job of it! PR not my bag, but I know the damage and frustration poor Communications can deliver. If Clyde can get it right, why can't we?

Clyde do indeed seem to have an excellent PR operation...the envy of many a Club these last few weeks. Come on Thistle, just say you voted 'NO' and we can move on. I want to enjoy the ARR Craib Cup!

Insightful stuff, Mr Stevenson. What I'm sure of is that Doncaster & Regan are now plotting life after newco being punted into SFL3. Wonder if they have thought what to do if they get rejected from SFL3 too? It might accelerate their sudden lust for SPL2 by invitation only. They should both resign

Paddy was a decent player, much maligned in his early days at Thistle, but showed some skill & versatility before his move to the Pars. I wish him well

If Thistle vote anything other than 'no' to newco in Div 1, having chosen not to consult the fans, it would be a travesty. Yes to reconstruction, no to newco.

The statements from Clyde and Raith Rovers tell it like it is. They have some good communicators at those clubs and Boards willing to show support for issues of fairness and integrity. Fair play to them

As Double Ugly and others above say, the SFL should uncouple league reconstruction and the newco issue. Yes to the former, SFL3 application for the latter. If Regan or Doncaster try to make reconstruction dependent upon newco getting an SFL1 berth, then it's coercion and blackmail
