    New Owner

The only thing that makes me believe that the new investor may be real is the fact that the club haven’t put out any statement saying it’s a load of nonsense. They have been quick to quell rumours in the past.
  2. This 100%, last time we played Arbroath away first game of season we went on to win the league
  3. Think new striker coming in will be Lewis Mansell
  4. Looked like McMillan got a sore one on Saturday and I assume Christie was injured at HT, therefore could be s back four of Saunders RB, Anderson McGinty and Penrice.
  5. You clearly were not at the game if you think we were lucky to get a draw. Falkirk had a 15 minute spell towards the end of the first half other than that we dominated the game. Simply watching 13 minutes of highlights doesn’t provide an accurate reflection of the game. It was important that we didn’t lose on Saturday, we now have an opportunity on Friday to go above both Falkirk and QoS and hopefully the players have a more positive mindset than some on this forum. Agree with your comments on Hazard and Sneddon
  6. We could ask for our game to be postponed!!
  7. Genuinely can’t wait for this game, the enthusiasm is back big time, spent all week scouring every publication to find any Jags news. I have looked at County’s team and yes they have some good players but nothing that really concerns me. In view of their ET on Tuesday I would release Storey and McDonald from the bench with 20 to go, Storey’s pace plus McDonalds movement will run them ragged
  8. Another thing worth mentioning re GC, is that his substitutions are miles better than AA’s ever were. On Saturday 1-0 up with 20 minutes to go GC could have thrown McGinty on to shore up and defend what we had ( something AA would have done), instead he brought on 2 strikers McDonald and Mansell and went for the 2nd goal, I also think that GC is more tactically astute.
  9. Think we can beat County not sure about same team though with potentially Saunders, Storey and Cardle available again. Not advocating any of them start but it’s another set of options
  10. That line up looks 3-5-2 ... interesting
  11. Great shout this! There will probably be a few players free after the window, which also means their pay demands may be lowere. Someone like Erwin would b a decent addition. We are much stronger now than at the end of December add to that the dramatic improvement in Elliott and Spittal and things look promising
  12. Ha to be fair I did say I would forget a few and didn’t class Squiddy among the Archie fud signings, but can’t believe I forgot Jack..,.
  13. Caldwell’s transfer dealings have been really good IMO; Out Melbourne, Mtumbo, Quitongo, Jeffries, Scobie, Ntambwe, Keown In Harkins, Hazard, Cardle, Saunders, Anderson, McMillan, Roy, Mansell probaly missed a few but you get the general idea, I think we are in a better place squad wise than we were when GC came in.
  14. Don’t know how GC pulled that one off the StJ fans will be seething. Great signing and getting Keown out as well is a bonus. Also noticed that Anderson was an un-used sub in their Scottish Cup game so eligible for us if St J allow it
  15. Some of the anti Caldwell tadgers on this site bricking it at the thought of us improving under Caldwell now that he has brought in some players to replace the absolute bag of shite that Archie signed in the Summer. Yesterday we beat a team who in their last league game skelped the league leaders 4-0. Huge improvement on where we were a month ago and let’s not forget Caldwell is the guy giving Fitzpatrick a decent run in the team, Archie preferred to play Mtumbo ahead of Fitzpatrick.
  16. He was a shocking footballer and nothing to do with fitness levels, smacked of desperation by Archie clearly signed via a video montage of his best bits, stolen a wage all season
  17. Another one of Archie’s shocking signings away
  18. Posted from a guy on Livvy P&B Got yourself a good one guys, he’s really unlucky not to have got more game time with us, when he has played he’s been very solid. Still a young lad, think he’s only 21 but he’s very athletic, strong and can get up and down the wing really well. Can also play centre back if you are struggling but he’s primarily a right back. Hope he does well, I really like him, think he has a lot of potential.
  19. Can play full back at either side, that should keep a few people on here quiet for a wee while
  20. From Euan Robertson (reporter) on Twitter today Very positive press conference from Gary Caldwell On Erskine: ‘We had an offer from another club, Chris hasn’t been involved as much as he’d like and I understand his frustrations He’s still very much part of our plans, he’s a fans favourite, trained well and in squad for Sat.’
  21. How about we get this shite to fck. The most important game we have played for a long time and people want to exacerbate an already perilous situation. The best thing to do on Saturday is get behind the team? Not give Falkirk an advantage. If you can’t do that stay in the house
  22. Agree, but as Squiddy has only 6 months of his contract left the club can’t stop him speaking to other clubs. Also if he goes to another club now we could ask for a fee.
  23. On official site, no problem with this and completely contrary to the rumours Over the weekend, Partick Thistle received a formal enquiry from another Scottish club about the availability of Chris Erskine. In consultation with Chris that Club was given permission to speak to him. Following the enquiry, a private conversation took place between the manager and Chris. Chris is not being forced from Partick Thistle and the decision remains in his hands. Chris remains part of the first team squad and will be treated with the respect that a player who has given so much to this football club deserves. Chris remains committed to the Club as he continues to prepare for Saturday’s game.
