  1. Chat on Swansea City forum suggests they are actively chasing Shankland and have already had a 200K knocked back. Also recent newspaper article here about same. I agree with JAG1970, McCall may be tempted to leave if his best player is sold however it may depend if is given the these funds to rebuild the Ayr team. All immaterial however; there is no way that J-Lo is getting rid of her blue eyed boy, she's confirmed that his costed January wish list has been approved and that he has her full support.
  2. I believe you! Out of interest, perhaps you could tell us the percentage of complete sell outs over the last season? And yes of course, all for a creative approach to get the money in; if it benefits the club, all good. Supply and demand will always win the day, however is it okay for Celtic fans to get a cheaper deal than Jags fans? Perhaps it's just the same question as is whether it's right or wrong to shunt Jags fans out of the JHS for Celtic / Sevco games to sell more tickets. I also think it's perfectly fair for Jags fans (season ticket holders or not ) to give their view on the value of hospitality to them, good or bad.
  3. Hospitality is an enjoyable experience but for me it's too expensive, especially as a season ticket holder. Given that it's set up to raise funds for the club, we can't really complain if they manage to sell it at the price they set. If people want to pay it, great. I'm not convinced it ever sells out though (bar Sevco games. ) Remember the special Itison deal for Celtic fans last year? https://www.itison.com/Glasgow/events/partick-thistle-vs-celtic-premium-tickets/events £59 for a meal and an unlimited bar was snapped up by the Celtic fans. I'm not so sure that Jags fans will be as keen to pay £95 deal for the Ayr / Morton / Falkirk / QOS matches. And as for increasing the price of OAP Season Tickets, that's just wrong. Cost should be reduced, in line with the Adult ST price.
  4. Frédéric added: “I am thrilled to be back in Scotland and to sign for Dundee United. It is a beautiful Club with an amazing fan base and I am fully focused on helping us achieve our ambitions“.
  5. Maybe I'm missing something but I can't find the prices listed anywhere. After signing into our accounts, have ascertained the following - * Adult Renewal Price = £290.00 (down from £308.00 last year) * 16-18 year old concession = £100 (same as last year) First time in years they've not offered the early bird prices, probably ran out of time this year. I wish they would list the prices more clearly for people to see them. Also when is the "pay by / cut off" date? System says "34 days left to guarantee seat" which makes it 3rd July 2018. This should be clearer also. Going to renew both tonight and might even purchase another one when the clearing date is confirmed : - ) EDIT - *prices here - https://ptfc.co.uk/tickets-matchday/2018-19-season-tickets/tickets-matchday-2018-19-season-tickets-prices/
  6. Just to add a meaningless fact to the conspiracy theory, have a look at the Playing Squad Update list on the main site - When one looks at this section - PLAYERS NOT OFFERED A CONTRACT FOR SEASON 2018/19 - Osman's names is at the very top of the list yet every name that follows is in perfect alphabetical order; Booth, Devine, Dumbaya etc. I'm a bit sad that he's offski; he was a man machine when he first came to the club / subsequent seasons and was always great with the fans. Poor in the last season though, granted. Maybe he was frustrated through injury, who knows. Will definitely look back and remember him fondly in the future though.
  7. Congrats FT, well deserved with your unstinting support of the sponsored jerseys each year. I hope the club consider reducing the sponsorship prices back to the previous levels for next season; it was just a bit too pricey for me to get more actively involved this time round. Thanks for organising the competition 11-1!

  9. Was having a wee peruse of retro World Cup strips earlier and spotted this Colombia "Mashup" effort. Obviously the blue flash on the sleeve is wrong, and I'm only dreaming, but would be well up for this as a Jags strip. The upside down number on the back rather appeals too for some reason.
  10. I think there will be a massive turnout for our next home game, a coming together. Looking forward to chanting Johny Lambies Red and Yellow Army with all of youz one final time. So terribly sad he's gone but will always have my best ever memories of being a Jags fan thanks to John.

  12. We need this to be a flag. £20+ contribution ready here if the dream can become a reality Jagfox. The new flags are stunning, brilliant effort!
  13. The plaque is great AJ and I'm really glad you chose to place it in the North Stand. I think it is a wonderful idea to sponsor a player in Robert's name next season and to hold a competition for the strip. Can I suggest that the Jags fans who take part in the competition contribute towards it and the money raised is used to sponsor another player for Robert the following season? I would be happy to pledge to this and I'm sure others would too. Would be nice to see Robert's name in every match program.
  14. Took my English mate to the game yesterday; it was his first time at a Scottish Football / first Jags match. At the end, I told him (sadly) that he'd just witnessed a typical Thistle game, sigh. On the up side, it was a great moment when we scored (we were right in front of the goals) and he was constantly grinning at some of the banter in the Northy :-) I'm not one for critiquing individual players, but as good as it was seeing Muzzy getting up to speed again, I wish he'd take a shot at goal. A few other players too for that matter. Outwith the Fish & Doolan, only Lawless & to some degree Edwards, have a pop at goal.
  15. Thanks Buckstone. For what it's worth, I 100% support and commend you for writing that letter to the club and I understand your disappointment at the response. I often wonder if the The Thistle v Rangers cup semi final would have turned out differently if they didn't have the 9 players with enhanced wages via EBTs playing for them. We'll never know, however other clubs were cheated much more than us. A review in my view would have helped repair and heal some of the damage; shameful how most clubs said nothing and told us all to move on. Sad that it's resulted in fans staying away. Doncaster and Regan have a lot to answer for.
  16. Buckstone, would you be willing to post the clubs response to your letter here? I'd be interested in seeing it and I'm sure others would too. Whether the club agree to this colts nonsense or not, if it gets introduced I won't be renewing my season tickets. The league set up is bad enough as it is without that happening. Scottish Football is dying on it's ar$e. It's not a conspiracy, it's corruption by the ones in charge lining their pockets combined with complacency by us fans.
