  1. Wearing 16 today?? Big involvement in 2 of our 3 goals. The second and the winner.
  2. Straight off the training ground! ( First thank you of the season, Camallain. First of many I hope!)
  3. Will, allow me to offer you this explanation from the penmanship of Britain's greatest author J K Rowling.... "I make mistakes like the next man. In fact, being--forgive me--rather cleverer than most men, my mistakes tend to be correspondingly huger"
  4. Norge, do you mind if I squeeze “one last chance depending on performances” if we make the playoff spots but fail to get promoted?Dundee with the parachute payments, St Mirren with the parachute payments or Caley Thistle. And Ourselves. Someone’s going to be disappointed.
  5. Not singling you out JJ, just using your post to make the point that the event, and this thread, were titled “An Evening With Gary Caldwell” so it’s a bit ridiculous all the posts criticising JL and GB for not talking more!
  6. Yep. Really interesting stuff. Just signing the players, training, pre-season and the march to the title left then.....:)
  7. Sorry to go off topic with the pro/anti Caldwell boring stuff, and just to bring things round to the point of this thread I think but..... Kris..thanks for the memories. I've got the t-shirts and I'll wear them proudly on the streets of London. I've got the memories and I'll always quote your name with respect and honour in any conversation. And most of all I've got the wish that wherever life takes you for the remaining few years of your career that the path will return you to Firhill sometime in the future where there'll always be a welcome and even a pint. Good luck Sir.
  8. Camallain, great stuff and I'll add my grateful thanks for all your efforts this season. Enjoy your post-season break.
  9. But hold on...since the players picked today’s team does GC get the points? :)
  10. Not sure that's true. Same five or six posting the same message day after day and shouting down anyone that disagrees just gives the impression that there's more of them.
  11. Him and Roughie were my heroes growing up, met them both loads of times and so I totally agree about AH being a gent, and it's always stuck with me him repeatedly saying that his brother John was a better player before he got injured.
  12. Which you and GRE repost on just about every thread twelve times a day. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of your opinion regarding the manager, Sandy. Give it a rest for God sake. Had you noticed we won a game yesterday, moved two points clear of automatic relegation and on Tuesday night a 2-0 win would put us in 6th place?
  13. I'm not criticising your opinion Sandy, just worried about your mental health mate. Glad your getting enough cuddles. The table looks a damn sight more hopeful than it did in December. We can agree on that at least.
  14. Jeese Louise Sandy, I don't know you but I really hope there's someone in your life to give you a big cuddle mate because your posts are a wee bit depressing these days. For what it's worth, while I was very sad to see Archie, my favourite Thistle player of the last thirty years, go the club were left with no real alternative option. I'm not convinced about Caldwell either, especially given his record with other teams, but there's at least a bit of optimism these days that we're actually showing signs of being able to compete. My analogy would be that Caldwell inherited a taxi with four bald tyres and had to drive that taxi until January before he was allowed to change the tyres. So it's only fair that he's measured on his 'driving' from January in my book. Come the summer when he gets to upgrade the engine and tart up the interior, we'll be able to judge him totally but for the moment I'm in the "he's made things better" camp.
  15. Huge shove. I wonder, if it's Saunders instead of Anderson that gets the header, if the Ref wouldn't have blown for the foul. Little bit of luck that can change a match/ season.
  16. Substituted at half-time yesterday.
  17. The Bridges goal celebration is almost as good to watch as the goal itself.... (As always Cam, thanks for your efforts )
  18. Small thing but it constantly irritates me that during the interviews the camera is so low down. Does your tripod go any higher? For instance, in the Rangers preview with AA, shooting against the bright sky is almost impossible without a light on his face but raising the camera and shooting him against the pitch or the buildings opposite the training camp would solve that. I realise you guys are not professionals as such and this is not meant as criticism because overall the content is fantastic and really helps to make an exile like myself feel a bit closer to the club, just meant as a friendly bit of advice.
  19. My mate is a taxi driver and told me he dropped Messi back at Glasgow Airport after signing talks at Firhill went badly when Archie found out he couldn't play left-sided centre back.
  20. Apologies if this has been mentioned previously in this thread and I missed it but I'm sure I heard on the BBC on Saturday that it now costs £1000 to appeal a decision. Personally I thought Foxy was slightly unlucky and his arm was deflected up into the Dundee players face when he was actually trying to push the guy by the shoulder, but if he hadn't raised his hand in the first place none of this would matter. Still not worth a grand to find out what the appeals committee think though.
  21. I'm still saddened that the threat of legal action from the solicitors representing that well known virgin, Mary Fae Maryhill, led to that song being dropped.
  22. Finished 4-0. Must have been 2 or 3 late goals unless the twitter guy gave up in the second half.
  23. The MUFC Academy @mrmujac Follow Ogo Obi gives #mufc the lead and it's 1-0 at HT at Coleraine… @DFMilkCup #MilkCup 8:39 PM - 31 Jul 2014Stockport, United Kingdom
