Any concerns about the game actually going ahead? The weathe here in the south-side is bloody awful and if the game was to be held in my back garden it’d most definitely be off as there is over an inch of standing water!

Typical Thistle display, if I had a £ for every time I’ve seen a finish like that I’d be a very rich man. THe only solace to take from that is that we’re top of the League!

Have absolutely no problem with a dignified one minutes silence, as that’s just common decency and respect. However, I would balk at the playing of ‘God Save The King’ or anything remotely resembling the maudlin triumphalism displayed at Ibrox last night. That would be crossing a line into politics, which should never be the case at Firhill. No matter your personal views , which you may have.

Not much I can add, to the comments I’ve read. Only to say that although we weren’t at our best we never looked like losing but having been following Thistle since 1975 , we don’t always get what we deserve. Thankfully, the team pulled through comfortably at the end of the day. A victory that to be fair, we wouldn’t have got last season. So overall, I’m very happy with the way things seem to be going with the Jags.

I’m extremely conflicted about this, as I agre in theory with any protest, but don’t want to damage the club that we all love. However, for this one particular game I his fixture will with a heavy heart boycott this particular fixture, but unless more provocation from the board takes place I’m not prepared at this moment to totally do the same to all fixtures: I’ll happily boy cot the Diddy Cup or the SPFL Trust Cup basically because I think it a waste of time anyway. Particularly, as we are entering a period when finances are going to be tight for everyone. I do however, believe that there is something fundamentally wrong in the State of Denmark, which if not resolved will do considerable reputational and actual harm to the state of our club!

Oh dear!

Overall, I really enjoyed yesterday’s game. We were far from perfect, but I still think we deserved to win. On another day, Banzo’s suicidal back pas could have and indeed probably should have cost us the three points. As it totally changed the momentum of the the game and Rovers deserve a lot of credit for their response. Still your unlikely ever to get the perfect performance and if that’s what your after I humbly suggest that Firhill is probably not the ground and Thistle certainly not the team I would follow to see that. With the obvious exception of away at Queens Park, I’m relatively sanguine about the start that we’ve made. We really have to try and stop gifting our opponents easy goals and I expect the double header against Arbroath to be a decent test of that facet of our game. Last season, Arbroath frankly bullied us home and away and surely the Manager knows what we’ll face in both games and adapt his tactics accordingly.

Couldn’t argue with that assessment, particularly with my extremely limited or inside knowledge of events.

I don’t think that I’ve got a complete hadle on things going on at Firhill, other than the BoD’s aka Jaqui Lowe seem ready to plunge this club into complete internecine conflict for no worthwhile or productive reason that I can see. I honestly can’t see a justifiable cause for the ,manner in which at all. If I am being incredibly stupid and unable to see something that is obvious!

Bad point, we’ll made!

After ruminating on this game for 24 hours or so: I’m not so annoyed as I was at the end of 90 minutes yesterday. It really depends on how the rest of the season goes, how we’ll judge yesterdays match. At the end of the day we’re top of the table and if we take our chances in the weeks and months to come then I think we’ll do all right this season. The only major concerns that I have is that I’m not too sure that McCall has a distinct style of play or like in the past . However, like all else time will tell.

To be honest of all of the things in all of the world to get upset aboutI don’t see why anyone would be that bothered by this. Unless, you have decided to hate Gaelic for some strange reason it’s a language for God’s sake it’s makes no more sense to get upset over Gaelic than it would to get upset about English, Chinese, French or German.
