  1. Nice article with Doolan regarding Bannigan. Great line towards the end from Doolan about playing for the Jags as well. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/14203900.Doolan_hoping_that_Thistle_can_hang_on_to_Bannigan/?ref=twtrec
  2. Never been all that impressed with McDaid. I could be wrong but he appears to think he's a far better player than he actually is. Perhaps a spell at Cowdenbeath will be a wake up call.
  3. If your ticket has a designated seat on it, sit in it.
  4. Welsh is already signed up for next season. http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2015-2016/august_2015/sean_welsh_signs_contract_extension If we reach top 6 then guys like Lawless might be tempted to stay. Bannigan deserves a big move, he has been in tremendous form recently. Cerny, Booth, Doolan, Osman and Seabourne all signing up would be excellent business.
  5. I was in at 230 and they'd all gone from City end by then. Brilliant to see so many kids with their first Jags scarves, they looked delighted! Hope the club keep it up, great iniative.
  6. Fantastic result. Wasn't much between teams but thought we grew in to the game, especially in the 2nd half. Great save by Cerny in 1st half to keep it 0-0. Thought we gave away too many free kicks on edge of box and also let in quite a few crosses, which was a dangerous tactic given the swirling wind, but on the whole defended it well. Motm for me was Bannigan, he was tremendous from start to finish. Mention for Welsh as well, best I've seen him play all season. Muirhead wasn't great, thought Amoo offered far more when he came on. Ref was dreadful, so inconsistent and he was losing control towards the end. Some of the County players discipline out the window near the end as well, especially Irvine's swipe at Lawless. Great to see us seeing the game out by confidently knocking it about in the corner. Well done Jags, Merry Christmas!
  7. That looks like David Hutton in goals, don't think it's Cerny.
  8. http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2015-2016/december_2015/first_foot_friday_for_st_mirren_cup_clash Some interesting ideas planned. Would have prefered a traditional Saturday 3pm tie but hopefully this will still attract a big crowd.
  9. Hearts game off, pitch inspection at Parkhead. Would be surprised if we didn't at least have an inspection.
  10. No brainier, if Cerny is fit then he starts. Scully suspect for their second yesterday (as were the whole defence to be fair)
  11. One of my all time favourite Jags. He epitomises everything you want in a Jags player. Hope he stays until he hangs up his boots.
  12. Granted I haven't seen Scully that many times but from what I have seen, I haven't been overly impressed. His demeanour doesn't exude confidence which I think clearly has an effect on our defence. He doesn't command his box, communication is poor, kicking looks dodgy and he flaps at crosses. I get why folk want him to succeed but I just don't think he's got it as a top flight keeper (certainly not at the moment anyway). There is a huge difference between looking good in training to turning out performances on a match day. I hope he proves me wrong but I can't see it sadly.
  13. I see it's been reported in the media today that Mathias Pogba was in the stadium on Friday night watching his brother.
  14. Agreed that it's a great move by the club but I can also see it being poorly taken up due to the fact that an email and collection policy is in place. Would turning up on the day and showing a valid matric card not have been a lot easier? They could have even had a designated window at the cabin. Anyway, fingers crossed it goes well.
  15. Nice to see you posting again CD, always enjoyed your alternative match pics a few years back
  16. Chips are down, Thistle are up against it and Seabourne suddenly becomes injured. I'm sure I've seen this film before.... We're a soft touch, far too slow and defensive. If we keep that formation and team it's going to be a long winter
  17. Jackie's first season? I'm sure we still had relegation/playoff threat hanging over us at this stage. Doolan's professionalism summed up at our penalty. On a hattrick but doesn't cause a scene when regular taker Cairney sets it up, simply walks away.
  18. Awful would sum that up. 4 defenders, 2 holding mids and 1 up top against 10 men. Sideways passing very easy for Hamilton to stop. They deserved to win on 2nd half alone. Pretty rough team helped by a shocking ref. Imrie showed guts and attitude not one of our players did. Grim stuff all round but special mention to Lawless who must have aimlessly punted it to nobody at least 5 times.
  19. The first 44mins last night was absolutely dire. The whole team were playing far far too deep with the defence putting aimless chips forward time after time. Only in the second half did we start to play further up the pitch which resulted in some half decent chances. Fletcher isn't the greatest player but he's far superior to Griffiths. James Forrest I wouldn't have in a Thistle team, his attitude is shocking.
  20. Thought Pogba led the line very well. He can only improve once he's fully fit. Seabourne was very good and Lindsay had a decent 2nd half, thought he was a little slow in the first. Bannigan was terrific and his corner kicks were excellent as well, we looked a serious threat at set pieces which is always good to see. Plenty to work on but if we keep that up then we'll be fine.
