  1. Steps, degrees, you know what I mean!
  2. Each connection is a degree. 1 Kris Doolan has a wife 2 his wife has an uncle 3 his uncle is married 4 his wife goes to a knitting club with another woman 5 that woman has a son 6 that guy is your pal. You could cut it down a little by saying Kris Doolan's uncle in law's wife goes to the same knitting club as a woman you know. That's 4. The idea of six degrees of separation is that it will always be six or less. For example I got served in Greaves by David McCallum (and also served him years later at the bar in Hampden when he was a coach there). That's one degree. If I knew potty trained I would be 2 steps away from a tonne of thistle players. Etc etc. How did you start this without understanding it?!
  3. Well, they are average height. I always used to find it funny that Doolan was considered tall at bang on the UK average height for men. It was a symptom of our lack of height over many years. Thankfully we now have a team that look like athletes.
  4. I do slightly agree with the post above, big clubs must find it hilarious as they get similar images on a weekly basis. But it is a great picture and we don't get these pictures anywhere near as orten. I think it is possibly more relief that after successive last minute goals coming against us, we finally managed to turn it around.
  5. Hi Adam, Hi Thorsten. Thanks for joining the forum. Good idea getting a joint account, we might not have twigged.
  6. Not even close... http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37775687
  7. Not doing well for keepers' fitness this season. Cerny not due back?
  8. That's OK, a draw for them is better for us.
  9. Seems we're having a lot of shots from 20-30 yards, which is a refreshing change from trying to pass it into the net. However we should be doing both, unless the idea is we think Fox might push something in front of him, in which case we need to get these long range efforts on target!
  10. Get in there jags. Commentary suggests we're doing better, how is it for those at the game?
  11. I agree with this. As much as I would love a terrace or safe standing area, It would only offer a cheaper ticket option without increasing attendance. I suppose though if the land is being used for housing then having any seats/terrace is preferable to having none.
  12. I'm a distant fan so TV games mean I get to watch more often! I'd only watch in the pub as I'm never going to fork out money for Sky/BT. I agree 100% I'd rather be at the game though.
  13. I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of TV game the past 12-18 months but it's good for local fans so I don't complain. With the TV stream for non-UK fans I am soon to benefit though
  14. Just spoke to a Pompey supporting friend, he said he and his brother really liked Barton but were happy to see him go as he wasn't being used properly down here. They call him a poor man's Krancjar as he won't do the dirty work but can play the ball. Works best in front of the defence spreading the ball around and would complement a team with attacking full backs. I talked about Osman and he suggested the pair should complement one another. Although he's not a tackler, he can win the ball in the air with his height.
  15. No f****** way that's Martin Lauchlan.
  16. But Ayr are in this competition too... Does that affect it? I'd have thought he's only eligible in u20 competition and this is a senior competition that includes u20 teams... :-s
  17. I don't think the league structure affects the range of points totals significantly. A bigger league would of course be more competitive though because, except for being more likely to have outliers with there being more data points, there will be more teams within the same range of points totals.
  18. I'm glad I never have to listen to open all mics anymore. We seemed to get Chic Young more often than not and he'd pretty much only report shots on target or goals unless asked specifically for an update. Ferguson on the other hand was always keen to say more whenever he covered us. I'm not a fan of Thompson, but on the rare occasions I watched Sport scene I think it was always after a controversial St Mirren incident he or Jim Goodwin were involved in and he'd chicken out of answering any questions.
  19. And (almost always) having to make a substitution.
  20. Guaranteed to get an unseeded premiership team :/
  21. I'm not sure what you mean. I've always found our website to be very well designed and incredibly easy to navigate. Maybe the only criticism is for mobile browsing. I only hope we don't end up with those horrible template websites that most English clubs have and a few Scottish clubs. Think the time is right for this. They've given the audio commentary a long trial though it was pretty garbled last time I listened.
