Sounds like one of those words that might be banned these days due to wokeness.

Reading your posts, I think you’d be happier with no points.

Last years victory over Dunfermline was definitely a ‘must win’ though we possibly didn’t know at the time. This could be just as important!
-
Good God! Traditional fans yet again deprived of Saturday and I can’t even blame the appalling broadcasting deal this time. I’m boycotting!
-
Agreed. But we shouldn’t be getting pumped 3-0 and 5-0 at home by anyone never mind Championship teams. The heads went down. Doolan needs to kick their butts. Is he nasty enough? Graham, Banzo and Muirhead should know better. Their butts need kicked from Firhill to Hampden. Old pals shouldn’t be exempt from a bollocking.

Fitzy’s injury may allow us to play an additional midfielder and become less overwhelmed. Doc controlled the game. I didn’t really appreciate him last season but he broke up any attacks we tried on Saturday, then bombed forward. McDonald is clearly not the answer. He’s contributed nothing in the games I’ve seen him. Personnel needs to change though. Banzo and McInroy not at the races! Subs again were far too late. Williamson and Adeloye could easily have replaced McDonsld and Graham much earlier.
-
Robinson, Williamson in for Stanway and McInroy or Bannigan. We could do with Ngenwya’s pace and energy. Can he play midfield? Last week’s midfield needs shredding.
-
Kris has done fine so far. But today was a shocker. Inertia. From goalie to the manager. Do something!!! He needs to learn quicker. It was inexplicable that there were no subs at h t., so badly were we being outplayed. McInroy and McKenzie could have been off after 25 minutes. They were that bad. No idea if you can have 4 subs at once but Stanway and Banzo should also have gone at h t. I thought Ngenwya played well. Couldn’t believe he wasn’t on much earlier. And we at least created some urgency when Adeloye and Robinson came on. Lawless didn’t have any one on ones. Not one! The supply and lack of movement from midfield was woeful. Why was nothing done about this? We’ll bounce back but this was a reality check. The attitude today was not right. Kris needs to kick ass now.

I was there in the 80’s! I actually gave up for a year because we were so bad. Kenny Watson was absolutely outstanding in a diabolical team for years. Yes, he had great technical ability, vastly superior to any midfielder on our books and most since then(Chic of course excepted). He’s a Jags legend. But none of the others mentioned contributed much at a very low level. Perhaps Law was committed but certainly not technical. I completely disagree that they were better technically or actually in any way that the 4 players we lost. McGuire and Kelly vs Tiff? It’s a no brainer! I wouldn’t have any of them in my team at present. I do not accept that they we don’t have ‘technical ‘ players. I agree that the present team don’t need to be as concerned about thuggery but Lawless and Fitz have to contend with a far higher level of strength, fitness and conditioning in the opposition.

Agree with all your comments. I’d have had Stevie and McInriy off at ht! Thank God I ain’t the gaffer. McFadden should’ve asked Doolan what he did to instigate such a magnificent 2nd half.

Dundee Utd are just taking the mickey out of all visiting fans with their high prices. Notwithstanding their number 1 scum rating, why would anyone go to that hellhole and pay scandalous prices? Id go everywhere else. I thought the stewards at Morton were pretty friendly and even quite understanding when a few over enthusiastic fans spilled on to the pitch. They were joking with our fans. I assumed there would be a cash gate but I was politely shown how to buy tickets online easily enough by a friendly girl with a qr code. i envy English fans who can visit different grounds and cultures and pubs regularly. As LIB says, a day out should be more than just about the football. I hope Caley dont go down as the Castle Inn is a cracker.

We couldn’t get rid of him in the window unfortunately.
-
If only for his enthusiastic goal celebrations! He certainly made it feel good to be a jags fan today.

And there was me thinking after Tynecastle that wee Stevie was past it. Well, it did take him half an hour to recover from his 40 winks on the bus journey but after that he was absolutely brilliant! What a delight to watch him at his best and how lucky we are to have such a talent amongst us. But Fitzy was my man of the match. I felt sorry for the big Morton number 4!

Stanway was excellent vs St Johnstone

Last night’s game was absolutely superb. Great entertainment, both sides giving everything and the JL stand kids rocking throughout. Surely we’re in charge. They had 4 injuries and we only 1(although Banzo had been magnificent up to his departure). But we need to watch their number 11. A wee mention to Fitzy who, when he suddenly switched on perhaps inspired by JL choir, looked like a world beater.
-
So Sevco scum benefit by around £1,200 from our game? Thats unacceptable. I’ve sworn never to give them another penny.
-
Graham, for all the reasons you mentioned. He’s a problem child. But he showed last night why we need him!
-
Hopefully next season this Friday night nonsense does not continue.
-
I can’t understand why Dowds is ahead of Mullen in the pecking order.
-
Lawless and Turner were terrific, Graham dreadful. I’m fed up with his moaning. Arbroath had some good deliveries from set pieces which Brownlie dealt with admirably. He’s obviously been told to shift it quickly!
-
My only concern is that we struggle against poor teams who park the bus and Arbroath will do this. We look a million dollars then run out of ideas. So an early goal is imperative to avoid a Hamilton, Cove or Dundee.
-
The logic is that, while McCall did ok, he couldn’t take us any higher. We plateaued. In my opinion, this was due to being tactically suspect and also, crucially was unable to motivate (Cove and Hamilton). Doolan so far, with our best players injured, appears so far to be able to adapt to circumstances and extract more from the players (except Fitzpatrick).

AYR to the Throne or Spinning around in the AYR?

We should have had it wrapped up after 25 minutes. Poor deliveries from Lawless who was unplayable at the start and McMillan cost us dear. They rolled up their sleeves and troubled us for the rest of the game with hard graft, something Fitzpatrick should have learned by now. We completely fell apart when Tiff went off. Was he Ill or something? Couldn’t believe that sub! Can Fitzy just not be bothered? Mullen played well again. Time for a few starts for him and the defence coped well with Akinyemi. Perhaps McMillan should be moved to CB with McKenzie at RB? Brownlie has now had 2 howlers and is a cart horse. -
Wow That was fabulous. Docherty and Banzo completely dominated their vaunted midfield. Doc has been playing brilliantly for 4/5 weeks. Commanding! Great to see Stevie back to form, giving Robson a roasting. And Holt M o M for me. Perhaps our runs is too late but several players are in great form atm.
