It’s Scottish Cup Day! Lets forget the politics and get to Firhill to support the team. We’re getting our best players back and we should win comfortably. A wee cup runs could enable us to clear out some dross and sign some steel in January.

My Morton supporting friend said that there was no difference between the teams. But we lost again. We lose every week. The players are a bunch of losers. Sure, our best 2/3 players are injured but the replacements are garbage and McCall signed them. So we have a team of losers, who are flabby and unmotivated and no cover for these miscreants. This is the responsibility of management who should pack up and go now, having lost the dressing room.

I’m sorry to say this but McCall has taken us as far as he can. And the assistant managers are a waste of space. I hope the board are identifying someone (Jack Ross?) to replace him and allow Graham to be his assistant.

I was watching in disbelief as he was dispossessed by their number 20 who then disappeared towards our penalty box with fat Fitzy strolling along admiring the run. That’s why Smith came on ahead of him. McCall should show him(and other miscreants) the work rate of QP, especially their number 10 who was still up and down the pitch at the end. Then he may be embarrassed.

Is Muirhead injured? if so, fortunately Tunji and Brownlie looked comfortable. Hodson ‘protected’ them quite well. Perhaps rest Docherty who had a shocker. And possibly McKinnon. Turner back. Graham back. Tiff and Stevie creating mayhem.

We were completely overwhelmed in midfield in the 1st half. Concerning! But credit to the manager for changing personnel and system quickly to prevent an absolute pumping. We had to sacrifice either Tiff or Stevie who were our most dangerous to make up for deficiencies of others. On the credit side I thought all 5 subs played well, Smith particularly! Perhaps we do have some strength in depth. Sometimes I moan about big Brian’s lack of mobility but the attitude of the whole team completely changed when he came on. Inspirational! We can’t do without him.

100% agree. I’ll be ragin if I travel all that way to see half the 1st team rolling over and meekly surrendering. Ive just watched the inspirational documentary on winning the 1971 trophy. We can win this game if we go for it with belief commitment.

Yes I agree. His partnership with McMillan is excellent. Mc’s runs are well timed either as a decoy or an overlapper. And wee Stevie’s delivery is regularly accurate. However I am concerned at the lack of movement and support for them in and around the box.

Thought Thistle were pretty punk today. We didn’t get it down and play. Graham and Fitzy were poor. But The 2 full backs were excellent. Thankfully Accies are dreadful. Ref didn’t know why he was booking our players and not theirs for the same offences.

Once everyone, players, management team and fans realise that Thistle are the best team in the league, we should drift away from all the other dross. The attitude against Caley was wrong from the start. We should have been getting it right up them before the sending off instead of being fearful.

After Falkirk I don’t think McCall has too many selection problems. Lets hope Tiff is fully fit.

Enjoyed watching them conceding 16 goals in 2 games. Long May this continue.

When we were spraying the ball around and moving into space and creating chances, I mentioned that we were easily the best team in the league. But if we want to win the league, there is no room to relax intensity. That shower will probably be relegated. They offered nothing. They were as disbelieving as we were when they scored at all, never mind twice. They should have been blown away. Where McCall has to improve is making the players appreciate that 3 points against Cove = 3 points against Caley or Dundee. He should show them videos of Liverpool and Celtic banging in 9. He should tell Tiff and Graham that their misses were unacceptable. Doesn’t matter whether it’s 1st or 95th minute, those chances should be converted. We don’t have a Liam Lindsay to win every high ball so we need an organiser at the back. Perhaps O’Shaunessy could do that similar to the job Mair did. Finally, I hope McMillans injury ain’t serious as his partnership with Lawless has been joyful.

How we scoffed at their 59 supporters announcement. They played like a team with 59 supporters. Absolute garbage. Then we give them 2 comedy goals. We should have been busting a gut to score a 3rd. No runners from midfield. We depended on Lawless and Mc Millan to create but when McMilllan came off we were clueless. Milne the only runner. I agree that we played some good stuff but the profligacy up front needs to be addressed asap. Wee Weston should get a run.
