When I saw the line-up before the game - no Sneddon, I was a bit apprehensive but fair do's to Mitchell - a great save earlier and then this.
Very well done!
Great view.
Two points to note.
Watch Tiff ghost away from a very central position to move unmarked to the back post, AND watch the blatant foul on Harry Mine in the 6 yard box..
Wonder if we'd have got the penalty if Tiff hadn't scored. Going by the one we didn't get earlier I doubt it.
Totally agree. He was one of my favourite players of that era and I was not a happy bunny when he was sold to Aberdeen but very very pleased when he came back.
The last point I fully understand.
Going back to other comments re SPFL - the month of March has 4 weekends of scheduled fixtures. During March Queen's Park are at home FOUR times.
How's that for sensible scheduling?
After last night I get excited again which led me to look closely at our (and others) fixtures.
Shocked and disappointed to find that ALL of the closing games in our league are schduled for a Friday night instead of the Saturday afternoon.
Can somebody clarify whether this is because BBC Scotland are planning a super-duper end of the season round the grounds spectacular, OR all the games had to go to the Friday evening because of Queen's Park (Stenhousemuir are at home on the Saturday)?
Imagine (if we still have something to play for) how many Jags fans would go to Kirkcaldy on the Saturday compared to the Friday!
Sorry for digging up an almost 2 year old thread and this is not a dig at Jaggernaut!
Just that there is a wee bit of a sense of "Deja Vu".
An odd goal defeat away to a Premier League team in the Cup - but remember what happened in the weeks that followed.
I wasn't there and have only seen Sportscene highlights. Can somebody who was there or saw the game on Viaplay tell me this - did the "injured" villain of the piece receive treatment from the Rangers medical team. I ask because some reports say he received treatment If so he should not have been on the pitch when the shy was taken.
The timing of this is totally bizarre.
If the decision was made prior to Sunday then there was no good reason to announce it on the club website about 2 hours after the game finished. It could easily have waited until Monday or Tuesday.
I have a sneaky feeling that some major disagreement (a serious fa'in oot) happened between the manager and the interim Chairperson and Mr.Smillie had an inconsidered knee-jerk reaction to whatever took place. (Just a theory).
I can clearly recall another ex-Hearts defender coming to us. My early summation - rubbish, useless, shockingly bad, etc. His name - Conrad Balatoni.
Shows what I knew - he became a very firm favourite.
