Depleted squad and uninspiring performance from the remnants …looked like frightened wee boys today and deserved nothing less than a scudding .Just hope this might be the catalyst for a positive reaction on Tuesday but without game changers like Graham,Tiffoney and Foster I fear the worst and more of the same .Three shots today and none on target is another worrying statistic and trend .

Surely this is the game our strikers start finding the back of the net again ….how many games now without a striker scoring ? . Weather looks glorious tomorrow with a wee bit of heat forecast ..mon Jags !, cap it off with a workmanlike 2-0 victory .

Aye ,today was a sore one again against this manky mob but there’s a long way to go yet in this rollercoaster of a league .I’m still of the opinion we’ll finish in top four especially having Tiffoney back hopefully in a couple of weeks .

Went by there twice last week around 1500 and was not too bad going west …maybe 5-10 min delay but not sure how it looks today.Stick to outside lane as it moves faster than left side filtering off at Bishopton and Erskine turnoffs .

Anyone travelling to game today might want a wee look at the impressive new statue on Port Glasgow waterfront just after the Fergusson shipyard ..the “ Skelpies “…hopefully we’ll be doing to a bit of skelping today ourselves after our last encounter with this mob .

Thought the ref should have yellowed the QOS goalie for blatant time wasting in second half when 0-0 ….amazing how our goal put a spring in his step .

Another 3 points on Tuesday night and we might just begin to get up a wee head of steam into the final run in .Thought our defence and Sneddon were great last night keeping us in the game when being pounded a bit in second half as well as being instrumental in snatching the three points at the end with Holt’s finish. Will be keeping a keen eye on results elsewhere today .

Once again young Sneddon kept us in the game when we looked rattled in the first half…he really is a star .

Hoping for a positive reaction after the gut wrenching disappointment of getting mugged by Imrie’s shower on Tuesday ….still getting flashbacks to BBBG’s penalty run up .

I actually thought Tiffoney was playing last night thinking he looked a bit sluggish and had put on weight until I looked at team sheet again and had confused him with Smiith…..

I think Tiffoney, to some extent ,covers that Rudden role of runs into the box but was sadly missing last night.

There were claims of handball by Holt but just can’t see it…and neither could the ref or linesmen from their respective positions.

Yup,Morton are a horrible team to watch .

Goalie was not impeded and clip from behind goal shows clearly Holt bundling it legally over the line .

There was a clip of penalty and ensuing stramash on Scottish Football Banter website taken from behind the goal …still can’t see why goal was not allowed.

Should have been 2 nil up by half time leaving the penalty as the icing on the cake against a very poor Morton . Thought the ref had a howler in the second half with some very poor decisions mostly in Morton’s favour . Automatic promotion now gone but still a chance of playoffs,however,need to be more decisive in the final third,Tiffoney a huge miss tonight.

Quietly confident about this one tonight despite the so called “Imre bounce”,would feel more at ease with Foster being available but looks like he’s not ready yet .Keep it tight at the back,fluid in mid field and unleash the war dogs of Tiffoney and BBBG upfront. Sun out in West End at moment,some spits and spot expected but game looks like a goer .

Played our socks off today and deserved a bit more from game but never really got the run of the Green ….or more precisely the nudge of the rut !.

Due to lack of investment and overplaying of pitch surface algae etc tends to build up and gets compacted leading to poor drainage .The subsurface of soil(sand and fibres two inches down ) is good but water has a problem getting there due to afore mentioned rubbishy surface even with machine stud holes punched in it .

Rain peaks at 1100 today and recedes for kick-off,but still drizzly . Ground staff doing all they can to drain pitch..hope to blazes its on as match log jam is worrying.
