Winter of '63
Back Row: Doug Somner, John Hansen, Alan Rough, Jim Melrose. Don't Know, Don't Know, Alan Hansen, Ally Love (?), Benny Rooney, Brian Whittaker, George Mackie, Ian Gibson, Bertie Auld. Front Row: John Marr Some spectacular Kipper Ties - not a style that has stood the test of time! Jaggernaut
Not sure if we've already had this one. No badge on the Thistle jersey..... Every squad photo in the official history book has a badge. If somebody could identify the players it would help to pin down the season. jaggy
no idea of the Jags, but I thought the Celt could be Willie Fernie. It seems he played for them between 1948 & 1958, so this would need to be a later picture if it is him going by the thinning hair. Not sure if that helps

paralytic thistle
I think the Celtic player is Jimmy Delaney, however I don't have a clue who the Jags players are.

Jaggernaut
is it Thistle ? Scotland/Scottish league away strip from 46 to 49 was the Lord Roseberry. Maybe it's not Thistle..... Some kind of Celtic vs. a Scotland select match? Edited April 3, 2016 by Jaggernaut
