lady-isobel-barnett
Iceland also played with 2 up front for much of the match and pressed England really high. Hodgson just wasn't expecting them to do either of those things and was totally spooked by it. They had no answer at all. Getting caught out with the long throw as well was so poor. Everyone had highlighted this threat pre-match - hard to believe England never worked on defending it. That's the most laughable aspect of that defeat. How any of the so called top nations could get beaten by a side playing a rigid 4-4-2 is almost unbelievable. The irony being we used to laugh at England playing that same set up and getting cuffed by just about any of the real top nations.
Wayfarer
Is it just me but does it sound like the Iceland fans are chanting 'Dools' when they do the clapping thing?

lady-isobel-barnett
What a fantastic goal by Eder. Without any doubt the second greatest goal I've seen this weekend.
ian_mac
Such is the unpopularity of Portugal and their star man, this tournament will be best remembered for 2 teams that didn't even contest the final. Iceland and Wales, take a bow.
