partickthedog
"He wears Number 9" is already a Thistle classic. Much as Kris(topher?) deserves all the adulation which has come his way, how about some recognition for those who faithfully ply their trade wearing other squad numbers? Here are a few suggestions. Some are OK, but several are substandard and I am sure could be improved. I have tried to include most of those who have been regular members of the squad, plus three guys who sadly have been kept on the sidelines due to injury. Apologies for the inevitable omissions. Looking forward to hearing better and more imaginative ideas from others. (Small drafting note-where a number has more than 2 syllables, it scans better if the word "number" is dropped. So "he wears number one", but "he wears seventeen"). I cannot claim to have invented number nine. Also the number ten idea was posted by somebody else, Apologies that I cannot remember who it was, but thank you all the same. He wears number one, saves goals for fun, Tomas Cerny. He wears number two, he's quicker than you, Mustapha Dumbuya. He wears number three, Mr Consistency, Callum Booth. He wears number four, every spot kick he'll score, Sean Welsh. He wears number five, best defender alive, Liam Lindsay, He wears number six, gets us out of a fix, Abdul Osman. He wears number seven, the winger from heaven, David Amoo. He wears number eight, he's worth the wait, Stuart Bannigan. He wears number nine, scores all the time, Kristopher Doolan. He wears number ten, scores now and again, Christopher Erskine. He wears eleven, seeing is believing, Steven Lawless. He wears number twelve, stands up for himself, Ryan Scully. He wears number thirteen, a big star for certain, Adam Barton. He wears number fourteen, he's just so important, Christie Elliott. He wears number fifteen, his focus never drifting, Daniel Devine. He wears number sixteen, causes defenders friction, Ade Azeez. He wears seventeen, for a loanee he's keen, Niall Keown. He wears number eighteen, he'll soon be in the "A" team, David Wilson. He wears number nineteen, he's got a big engine, Ryan Edwards. He wears number twenty, we've not seen him plenty, Jason Banton. He wears twenty two, wishing good luck to you, Gary Fraser. He wears twenty five, his day will arrive, Mark Ridgers. He wears twenty seven, which rhymes with Kevin, Kevin Nisbet. He wears twenty nine, his corners are fine, James Penrice. He wears number thirty, he's clean, never dirty, Andrew McCarthy. MonehJags
The azeez one is hilarious as it doesnt even rhyme and ive never heard of a defender getting friction. You better be careful incase he adds that to his impressive C.V

allyo
I think maybe you should have given up when you reached the teens. Good effort though.
