The Chairman Speaks.....to Me

After a few shandies last night I returned home to read the aftermath of yesterdays game, and as wound up as I was at 5 o'clock, but intoxicated, I decided to send the chairman an e-mail, and after reading it again, I was surprised how diplomatic I was despite how pretty drunk I was at the time, although it seems a few home truths may have hurt our chairmans feelings. After discussion this with another fan I decided some people might like to read what he had to say....

Ok then - when are you going to offer to take on the resposibility of

running this football club since you think you could do so much better ?

I look forward to hearing

Allan Cowan

Pretty embarassing stuff all round.

When someone sends a pissed e-mail that essentially just slags you off the best thing to do is simply ignore it, rather than fan the flames.

Cowan's response does sum things up though.

Everyone wants rid of him, but where's the queue to replace him?

To become Chairman of a famous Scottish Football Club? There'll be a queue.

Anyway, MWM why not reply saying you're happy to admit that you're not skilled enough to run Partick Thistle. When is he going to admit the same? ;)

I think for Cowan to request this thread is deleted would only further highlight his complete incompetence as chairman of our great club.

I'd like to say thank you for this e-mail being sent, its great to see a pro-active approach, and Cowans reply only further indicates his lack of care and consideration for Partick Thistle and it's supporters.

As sanctimonious and inept as this reply to you is Michael, I'd love to see you call his bluff by responding, offering him two weeks to formally tender his resignation, clear his desk and make way for yourself as his replacement.

He really is a millstone round the neck of our club. An arrogant man to boot, judging by his disdain for Thistle fans in general.

It doesn't surprise me. I sent him an e-mail after our four nil gubbing from Clyde asking him to remove DC from his post as if things continued under him, we would be battling relegation IMO.

He replied calling me a pessimist and told me to support the team iunstead of slagging off the manager.

Who was right then Mr Cowan?

His arrogance is breath-taking, but taking an earlier point, does this mean that he would be willing to step aside if enough pressure was put on him or is he just being an ar5e?
