Alan Murray
Hopefully he will get his chance here. They must have been impressed in the recent reserve game.
GrantB
That's a decent move for him. I would have been worried if he had went to a struggling team. Lets hope we can reap the rewards of the experience he picks up in January
PaleGreySky
06/11/2010 15:00 Airdrie (H) 13/11/2010 15:00 Dumbarton (A) 27/11/2010 15:00 East Fife (H) 04/12/2010 15:00 Stenhousemuir (A) 11/12/2010 15:00 Livingston (A) 18/12/2010 15:00 Forfar Athletic (H) 26/12/2010 15:00 Brechin City (A) Ayr's fixtures til January. If he signed last night for a month, then he's got til Stenhousemuir away. I'd expec thte standard to be reasonable, and hopefully he'll bulk up a bit, get confidence on the ball and get a goal somewhere.

northernsoul
Happy for the player. Even if this move didn't materialise, Annan were wanting him on loan too. In demand it would seem.
hamiltonjag
That's a decent move for him. I would have been worried if he had went to a struggling team. Ah but look at Doolan's improvement after his stint with Clyde. And you don't get more of a struggling team than them.
The Earl of Hathaway
As long as club captain Marko Roberts takes him under his wing, Bannigan will come back a significantly better player - it would be nice to see the torch passed from 'Yesterday's man' to 'Tomorrow's man'
PaleGreySky
He'll come back a hoor. I mean a MASSIVE slag. Disgusting filth. There'll be rumours of a friendship with Stephen McConalogue (he plays for Dundee Utd, don't you know...) and stories about nights at Seventh Heaven. Why o why is Mark Roberts not wearing a Jags shirt ? Sad days !
uberteeb
We desperately need these so called promising youngsters to become properly good players. Will help us on the field and off (if they are as good as some of that group of Livi youngsters turned out to be it could net us a small fortune by Thistle standards). Good luck to the kid. GrantB
Maybe he hasn't signed for them yet. There hasn't been anything on the OS, only the article in the Times.
Santana
Maybe he hasn't signed for them yet. There hasn't been anything on the OS, only the article in the Times. Well, he won't be playing for the U19s tomorrow, I csan guarantee that.
kni
Would love to welcome him back with Marco Van Roberts in his pocket ! Why o why is Mark Roberts not wearing a Jags shirt ? Sad days ! Roberts appeared to have lost pace in his last season or so with us. He is playing against part-timers now so the slower pace in that division should suit him. kni
Maybe he hasn't signed for them yet. There hasn't been anything on the OS, only the article in the Times. It is likely that the deal has been agreed in principle but that the paperwork has yet to be completed. We often learn of signings, loans and departures in the press before they are confirmed on the official site.

PaleGreySky
Played in 3-2 loss to Dumbarton. Apparently started promisingly and put in a couple of good crosses, but faded a bit. Played 90 mins. Much better than sitting on our bench til 25 to 5pm, at Firhill.

Just read an Ayr forum and all comments about him were positive. a few quotes The lad Bannigan played well. Very tidy in possession - don't think he lost the ball once and put a great cross in for Marko early on that he should have headed home. positive - Bannigan looks alright. Agree about Bannigan - he had a good game. ONLY 1 PLAYER FOR ME GOT PASS MARKS YOUNG BOY BANNIGAN
