Vom Itorium
surely we have to find a new name for it and can't tag it with the same manky brush that others do? I'm sure the Sellick have actually copyrighted 'Huddle' anyway, so what are we gonna call it?

Fearchar
I'm not sure it did work - some of the players looked a bit uncomfortable there. One of these days a referee will stop one for ungentlemanly conduct. Touchy-feely and Scottish football - please, no!

1 John Lambie
Was surprised to see it, but if it works, does it really matter? Was strange to see the subs in on it too. The players did seem fired up after it, can't do any harm anyway.

GrantB
I think we are better than this. Why copy something that our manky East End neighbours do?
yoda-jag
I think we are better than this. Why copy something that our manky East End neighbours do? Lots of teams in different sports do it Mr Fussy. If it instills a greater sense of togetherness and motivates the team more, and we get better performances and results off the back of a Jagassemblage, then i'm happy for such a show of unity to occur. And it's not as if the manky eastenders invented it. Edited November 20, 2010 by yoda-jag
i@n
If its good enough for the village people, it's good enough for thistle
Woodstock Jag
Jaggy in the Middle? I think we should formulate some sort of Hakka ritual and scare the opposition into submission. My only worry is that one of our 30+ players would pull up with an injured hamstring doing it.
Jaggyman
I think we are better than this. Why copy something that our manky East End neighbours do? Youm mean like winning most games and winning trophys? certainly not just wouldnt be thistle would it
Woodstock Jag
I think we are better than this. Why copy something that our manky East End neighbours do? It's done in rugby all the time. Trust me, a team that has some sort of pre-match ritual is just that wee bit more radge and up for it than one that ambles onto the field. cjptfc
A feeling of togetherness is easily generated in the dressing room before coming out, by shaking every team-mates hand and giving each player a quick hug if necessary, a few shouts and pats on the back on the way out the door. The on-field stuff is purely for show i feel. Unnecessary. The plastics are now only doing it out of habit I think, and so not to upset the great unwashed. I'd rather the boys kept the team-spirit-building in the dressing room where it should be. Edited November 20, 2010 by cjptfc

PaleGreySky
It'd be good to get my booing out the way before the match, so I reckon we should keep it. 'Jaggle' works for me.

hamiltonjag
Get the huddle TF We are Thistle. We are unique. NOT a cheap knock-off of some daft old firm gimmick.
MWM
We are definitely Celtic sympathisers, so lets keep doing the huddle. Its not Partaig in Gaelic for nothing.
Steven H
Get the huddle TF We are Thistle. We are unique. NOT a cheap knock-off of some daft old firm gimmick. It's not a huddle....it's a motivational circle . I don't give a sh!te about the fact Celtic were the first team in Scotland to do this, they weren't the first in the world and I'd see it as just one of those things that has become culture in football.
