1 John Lambie
An idea, if possible, should be to place the 'top' bins at the unis in Glasgow. The amount of irn bru consumed by students is crazy, have collected some tops in the last few days, but don't want to seem like a right weirdo asking people for their bottle tops! In studentland that my be deemed as quite rad and wacky so get it done. You may find yourself with a whole new social network
Vom Itorium
What I've been doing is, instead of buying a 2L bottle of Diet Bru, I'm buying the 6 packs of Wee Bru's. Same amount of juice (well, nearly) but 5 extra caps. What have I become? Good thinking so all we need to do now is find the best deal on offer on the wee bottles. Fawlty Towers
If you are drowning your sorrows tonight do so with some irn-bru and bring the caps to Firhill on the 19th!
northernsoul
Pound World are doing 4 of the 250ml bottles for (you guessed it) £1 Maybe this is something the Club could take advantage of. Go down to Pound World buy the whole lot, stick them behind the Aitken Suite and charge say 50p a bottle. £2 back on £1 spent on the bottles, profit goes to the Club and the Aitken Suite can collect the bottle tops. Members Willjag
I'm sure the Club could pick them up wholesale from Barr's for a helluva lot less than 25p/bottle!
twinny
Looks like Barrs are going to be doing some more sensory tests at my uni. I'll instruct the technician to keep all the caps for me

Could the caterers not be buying in Bru in bottles instead of that siphone guff and that way we can gather even more? As someone pointed out, buy in bulk from Barr's and it'll cost hee haw. Fistle1876
Could the club not ask mcgees to get involved. I'm sure they sell quite a lot bottles of irn bru every day.

Fawlty Towers
Just a reminder that Saturday is our first home game since the competition started so please remember to bring your bottle caps along and stick them in the collection bins - thanks! I have got my girlfriends work into this. It would be good to win this again for the club.
Fawlty Towers
I was in Tesco today and they are doing an 8 pack of the 250ml bottles for £2.39 - the same amount of irn-bru as a big bottle but 7 more caps!
Fawlty Towers
Some more information regarding this - as well as the plastic bottle caps from irn-bru & diet irn-bru bottles you can also include the plastic caps from Strathmore water bottles so even if you don't like irn-bru you can still help the Club win the £10,000 (assuming that you don't dislike water as well). Fawlty Towers
Only a few teams have their results thus far posted but the table gives an indication of what we need to aim for: http://www.irn-bru.co.uk/tfyt/ The game on Saturday will hopefully have a large turnout of Thistle fans so lets make sure we all turn up with our bottle caps! Realjags
If you are so inclined any stretch of road between a secondary school and the local shops are littered with irn-bru bottle tops. I must've collected 20 in a 100 yard stretch on Cleveden Road. You do get used to the funny looks after a while...
