avie-man
Didn't merkland street not become a pickup point on the old jh bus before the royalty?

Rid Skwerr
Great to see Just an observation but not exactly full of the younger brigade. Seriously tho', why should that be? They're all actually in their twenties. People just looked older then (probably because they worked in heavy engineering, not banking & IT)
ACAB
Paul Wilson broke my ankle in 1989 in a game of fives. A couple of days later he knocked on my door apologised and took me for a pint. He admitted that he thought I was trying to "do him" in a 50/50 and got his retaliation in first, as he found it a common occurance that some Rankers fan would try and make his mark on him due to his playing history. He found out I was a Thistle fan and wouldn't give a toss about that sort of thing and I wasn't some sort of thug hatchet man anyway. Always appreciated the gesture but I did have to give up playing competitive football a couple of years later. The last I heard (through a mutual friend)he was working as a Prison Officer somewhere down south. Can I also take this opportunity to congratulate stuthejag on one of the best football sites I have ever come across, even allowing for my bias. hebridean jag
As a boy I used to sometimes get a supporters bus from the bottom of Peel Street, would this have been the same supporters club?
Mr Bunny
Agree about it being a great site, and the research to make it that must require a hell of a lot of work. Well done. Wonder if anyone might recognise some of the guys in the pic?
