Dark Passenger
With an eye on next season, I've compiled the following list of out-of-contract First Division players. I can't claim it to be definitive - I can't find details of Ayr players' contracts for a start - but it'll give you a fair idea of those that'll be looking for clubs. One guy who's not on there, because he's currently tied to an SPL club, but I thought I'd mention given the Cairney situation is Martin Scott. Having compiled it, I'd actually say it was a largely pointless exercise! I wouldn't take many of those listed over our current players and those I would will be in the 'unrealistic' category. I assume our targets will be freed SPL players and promising lower league footballers. Lindau
Unsure about the big fella up front but as he will come cheap, pretty sure he will be offered a low cost deal. Stewart and Elliot started well but have died a death. Ship them out and bring in Boulding and El Alagui up front with Dools. and lets have a real go next season.........need to go, the droogs are wearing off..lol
MWM
What about players to avoid that McNamara might target? Corcoran maybe. Wouldn't want Steven Craig, heard a mental rumour a while ago about the money he is on too. Likewise not many on that list appeal to me and the ones that do we probably couldn't afford their wage demands. Think Smith is still actually under contract at QotS, well according to some posts I've seen on P&B. McGowan at Ayr is one I'd take, but his working circumstances might have changed now hes part-time.

uberteeb
That foreign fella from Falkirk, if we don't sign him the board should be sacked and Firhill raised to the ground.
Lindau
That foreign fella from Falkirk, if we don't sign him the board should be sacked and Firhill raised to the ground. Totally agree U...LOL. Seriously, I think we have played well for most of the season, but we cannot finish teams off. We are lacking a goalscorer to help Dools out and its something McNamara must prioritise next season!!
Jaggernaut
There's no way we could offer him better terms than Falkirk. I rather think he'll be heading for the SPL or down south in any case.

twinny
A seven-aside team from that lot: Colin Stewart Scott Boyd - Marc Smyth - Ryan Conroy Derek Young - Mark Corcoran Paul Di Giacomo

Pretty sure I read and pie and bovril that both Kevin Smith and Mark McCusker are signed up next season for Queens but things might change if they get relegated. Is McGowan at Ayr the same lad who also played for Clyde adn Queen of the Suth, seem to remember him being a pretty decent player

jagfox
Some decent players out of contract but as op sorry DP mentioned will either move on to better things; will want too much dough or will get re-signed. Dream picks would be Duffie, El Alagui and Baird. McKenna at QoS would maybe a decent addition and would MacDonald at Morton can still find the net. I'd rather have 3 proven strikers than 1 experienced; Doolan, and 4 or 5 maybes or neverwills.....
