Stephen Craigan

Yeah, always saw him a a guy who copped out when the going got tough, invoked a clause in his contract to bail out when we got relegated to sign for a team that had released him, cause he wasnt good enough.

He fulfilled his limited potential with us then went running back to team that didnt want him.

Not to mention the disrespectful comments about Lambie, "learned more in one training session with Sammy McIlroy than two seasons with Lambie."

Probably be as good as Billy Dodds with his punditry.

I like Craigan.

Most of the guys that left us at the end of that season did so because they didn't want to work with Gerry Collins as manager.

Craigan's commentary when we scored a penalty against Livi was brilliant. Celebrated like a fan.

He left a season before we got relegated, and has always said he has a soft spot for us. Wish he'd come back to us for a season but I suppose we already have one slow-turning, ageing centre back.

Was a decent player for us but left for a team going into administration. I guess he had his reasons probably a few hundred of them each month.....

Has had a good career for a no frills defender. Over 50 caps for his country.

Seems ok in ra meedja but has trotted out the party line re:rankgers, meh.

Sounds like he has lost his appetite for playing due to unfortunate family circumstances.

Funny I heard him on Radio saying John Lambie was the best he had come across...

Re-writing history a wee bit. Craigan left us for relative security because he was out of contract. Lambie's policy re make 'em sweat for a contract in that instance failed. I don't think many of us would hang about in a job that didn't appear to value your employment when another company offered the security of a contract.

He obviously still valued his time at Firhill when he opted for us as opponents for his testimonial. He could have lined his pockets considerably better by getting a club that would have been a far bigger draw.

Not claiming Stephen Craigan as some sort of ultimate Jags hero but he's by most accounts a really decent guy and certainly was a player who deserves our respect.

That said I'm not sure given a couple of recent games we can afford to sign an own goal specialist :)

A wee bit!! That was Soviet Style re-writing. With no relationship to the facts. Well done for the correction LIB.
