Jaggernaut
Sensible move imo http://ptfc.co.uk/ne...sign_goalkeeper http://en.wikipedia....er_born_1983%29 Yep. Looks OK from his record.
Guy Incognito
A very good signing, IMO. I seem to remember Smith doing really well when he was at Motherwell.
stuart_adam
He will do as a reserve to Scully, not overly impressed by his recent record. Lost 33 Goals in 10 Games for Brighton, then Lost in 38 Goals in 21 games for Hibs. Albeit, not the best defensive records in the world, lets just hope he does a bit better for us if he starts... Chris near Oxford
Quote from Brighton-supporting friend "Hope your first choice keeper doesn't get injured" My prediction Accies 5 Thistle 3. Scully then takes the gloves.
read'n'yell
Pretty sure he was respected with Ross County and did well at Motherwell. There at the same time as Forbes I believe. The only real reason I know the name is from his bombscare time at Hibs but hopefully that is in the past. He clearly has/had talent and I'm confident McNamara or more importantly our sports physchologist can get his confidence back. At 6''1 he has good height. Armand2
I've always thought he was a decent enough keeper. Hinchy has a record of getting the best out of keepers and I suspect Smith hasn't been brought in without his seal of approval. The more I think about it though, the more I think Scully will start on Friday with Smith on the bench. I have no idea how match fit Smith is and throwing him in would be risking injury. The confidence boost that Scully would get from that would be a bonus too. ETA: I hope it wasn't Smith in goals for the 5-1 reserve pumping this afternoon. That certainly wouldn't augur well... Lindau
Get Scullers in for Friday....lol
Armand2
Get Scullers in for Friday....lol ! Saved a penalty from Forbes in that game but, aye, not exactly confidence filling if that's his form over the past few years.
Lord Rosebury
He's obviously had a couple of bad games, which I think fans will focus on, but the fact that he's been in two Scotland squads as well as having a B cap will tell us more about his form over a greater period of time. If he's fit I would play him on Friday. Edited November 13, 2012 by Lord Rosebury
Metzmagic
I seem to remember he was always goading and wynding up the away support at Fir Park and was one of the few goalies that I would have loved to smack about the coupon with a brick, and now were paying his wages. Loved it when he went to Hibs and fell apart. To$%^r. ..... and now he has my full backing and support, what a funny old game !!!!
kni
It would be interesting to know why the club did not sign the Graeme Smith who sat on our bench for 3 games. He would have had the benefit of training with our players and coaching staff.
jagfox
There's only two Graeme Smiths Our new one seems to lose a few goals at times. Five on his Brighton and Hove Albion debut and played in the 6-6 draw between Motherwell and Hibs. Seemed to let in three on his Azeri league debut as well. Overall good experience and will look to get a start on Friday, if fit. I knew Jackie wouldn't hang about. thriller
Hope Jackie goes with Scully, Smith hasn`t impressed me anytime i`ve watched him.Definitely doesn`t fill the goal and always gives me the impression he`s too small. Great chance for Ryan to grab the jersey until Foxy comes back.
DPO
How do you know? Scully may start with Smith on the bench. Im guessing it will be Scully on the bench.
Auld Yin
Was a good young keeper at Motherwell, and he should fit right into the squad as he knows Forbes, Lawless and Slane really well. As said above all players have off days and a few have been highlighted, but he is a lot more experienced than scully and in my opinion should be an ideal replacement for Fox. Lindau
Definitely doesn`t fill the goal and always gives me the impression he`s too small. At 6ft 1in he is an inch taller than The Fox and as all us guys know that extra inch can make all the difference! DPO
If your guess is wrong and Scully starts, will you still have faith in Jackie's choice? It depends on how good Scully performs.
brodieboy
The only things I remember about this guy; Rangers were ways frightened to give him a real chance and signed ancient foreigners as cover instead. He seemed to enjoy winding up a large Jags support when we were beaten one night at Fir Park relatively recently.
