Jaggernaut
It's rank, however you look at it. Sure, sendings off, poor referees, unlucky goals lost, poor luck in front of goal etc etc all play a part, but the bottom line is that we haven't managed an away victory in the League for almost 4 months now. This has to change at Dumbarton! But will it?
1876Jag
Not based on the last 2 performances.
jagfox
We are averaging a point a game so I would say it is distinctly average at the moment. Hopefully pick up a few wins in the coming weeks. We have only lost two away from home so better than previous seasons, imo.
Z88
5th best in league. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/scotland/division-one/2012-2013/true-table/away
The Earl of Hathaway
5th best in league. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/scotland/division-one/2012-2013/true-table/away Very interesting table - we've scored the equal fewest goals away, but also concede the least goals. What that suggests is that if Craig and Doolan hit form, we shouldn't have any problems winning away. (Complete nonsense analysis but I like the sound of it)
Auld Jag
Imo our away form will cost us any chance of winning this league.must improve and a win on Saturday is a must. The red cards arent helping either. Whilst it's fair to say our away form is poor that's still a generalisation. I don't recall a league game where our defence hasn't been up to scratch. Yesterday was possibly the first time the midfield was overrun. Clearly it's been lack of goals that's cost us. We went the best part of 90 mins without scoring against Raith and scored one single goal in three games at Falkirk, Hamilton & Airdrie. Most home games we've seen the team squander many chances but by sheer volume we've scored freely. I reckon away from home we've had/made far fewer chances. Put another way, and I'm usually not too keen on stats, our goals to chances ratio is much the same as at home, it's just we make far fewer opportunities. Our goals this season have been coming from many and not just one on form striker and that maybe backs up that theory.
Lenziejag
In the last 10 or so years 70 points has been what has been needed to win the league. If we continue getting an average of 2 points per game, which is what we have so far, we will get 72 points which should be enough. I don't think our away form will lose the league. It will be our home form that wins it. We have had 3 poorish results last 3 games and we are still just 2 points behind with 2 in hand. Still not time to panic
