dibble
I do think a lot of credit should go Ian considering the number of players who have performed so well this season were brought in by him. Despite some of his weakness he always had a good eye for a player. The list is I think Erskine Doolan. Conrad Fox Sinclair Paton Any others? Jaggernaut
Good point well made. Could he have got us playing the kind of football that we've been playing? Who knows. All we can say with certainty is that Archie's record so far has been truly tremendous.

The Arch
Sinclair was McNamara as far as I'm aware.
dibble
Apologies for spelling - bit hungover and lost a few brain cells last night. Agree that although he brought in some good players he wouldn't have had us playing the way we have this year.
Lindau
Yep, McCall started the ball rolling, carried on by McNamara, now we have Archie and Shaggy who could be the best of the lot but they need to hit the ground running next season......but hey we will bother about all that in August. Archie still to be tested in the market though the signings of McMillan and Dowie (especially) have proved to be pivotal in the last few games!! Yes, hard to see how those signings could have been bettered at that crucial stage of the season. Exactly what was needed when we needed them. Santana
Dick Campbell brought Archie back. He should be given credit too.

ian_mac
McCall had left by the time Sinclair arrived but I'm pretty sure it was McCall who earmarked him as a replacement for Paddy Boyle before he left. Whatever you say about McCall there is no denying he laid the foundations for this team.

read'n'yell
Mccall also brought Bannigan. Not forgetting Cairney, Harkins and Tuffey who went on to (better) things.

Dariog
McCall also had identified Muirhead at Annan and had him monitored for several games before jackie who tnhen had him checked him further and signed him Good signing
Gordie
McCall is a parasite. He did sign these players and he was well rewarded with his percentage of their sale price. I wonder why he left? Anyone any ideas? Nah this not the time and place. Celebration time

Gordie
No allegations. McCall has clauses in his contracts that grant him percentages on sales of players he signs. Same as Ian Holloway.

Graemei
Was saying this to my missus last night that it's funny how McCall signed a lot of these players and couldn't get them to play as well. Wonder if it was him who spotted the talent or a scout? if it was him he should do that, far better at picking talent than managing a team. Dariog
Understand that just having a laugh when I seen the big mans father giving the boy a nose bag after yesterday's game made me realise the commitment we are getting fae players and family. After all Jackie signed Aaron
Waka
I wonder why he left? Anyone any ideas? "Personal reasons". I think it had something to do with his family. But instead of wondering about how much McCall gets when players he signed get transfered, we should thank him for providing us with the players that he did. Now I wonder how well Archie is at picking and signing players. I hope we can stay in the SPL longer than the last time.
