the saint
Just looking at the judas thread and it got me thinking.....what other thistle idols (in the making) have gone on to tarnish their reputation? ?
jaggy
Martin Hardie at the time for his assault on Andy Dowie. Having said that if Whyte & Britton had signed him when they had the chance that incident might never have happened & he might have saved their jobs Edited May 11, 2013 by jaggy

The Sunnylaw Jag
A bit controversial here but Roughie went on to play for the Celtic and then had the temerity to have a picture of himself in the Celtic strip for his autobiography 'Rough At The Top'. Mo Johnston's career went to zero too (except for Scotland of course).
The Cup
Leigh Hinds. Paraded as a big signing as then was utter crap.
Dark Passenger
James Grady - one of the few shining lights during the Collins season and said he'd remain with us should Inverness be refused entry to the SPL. We won the first vote and he promptly buggered off to...Dundee United.

kni
Jimmy Bone - 1971 hero but zero for being the acting manager who put Kenny Arthur on the bench for his final Jags game.
Noel Edmonds
Jimmy Bone - 1971 hero but zero for being the acting manager who put Kenny Arthur on the bench for his final Jags game. Personally I can forgive a hero of the club's finest hour for dropping a distinctly average and overhyped goalkeeper onto the bench in a meaningless first division game. David Stevenson
Personally I can forgive a hero of the club's finest hour for dropping a distinctly average and overhyped goalkeeper onto the bench in a meaningless first division game. Well Kenny Arthur spent a lot more time at Firhill than Jimmy Bone did in any capacity and acted with dignity throughout his period at the club. He wasn't the greatest keeper ever seen, but was good enough to be in the Scotland set-up at B level and in the squad as back-up. He was dropped for any number of keepers who ultimately proved inferior to him, and always bounced back to do his best. If the game was as meaningless as you say, the decent thing would have been to play him.
Jaggernaut
Won't mention names, but a small handful of our ex-players have ended up in the nick, and not for nothing.... Pretty close to zero if they were supposed to be role models for youngsters.

The Sunnylaw Jag
Although not a legend I wonder where Adam Strachan ranks in this as a player we all saw as having great potential but never really living up to it. Hero to Zero. He burst on to the scene at 16 and was probably hampered with having a crap team around him. Ten years on and he's plying his trade at Irvine Meadow.
