topcat
Was good to see that the 1st Divison title for 2012/13 has now been added. Was wondering as we don,t get to many Cup finals why Challenge Cup Runners up does not get a mention. It was a national competition after all. stillresigned
I don't think even we are that desperate.
glenncraig
I also don't see the the British Cup Winners Cup which we beat Spurs 3-1 at Firhill In 1921. This cup was for the winners of the Scottish Cup against the winners of the FA cup. Or am I wrong about this?
Blackhill Jag
Also notice that we say First Division runners up in 1991/92 but don't mention 2008/2009, I presume this is because in 91/92 we were promoted to Premier League
Jaggernaut
I also don't see the the British Cup Winners Cup which we beat Spurs 3-1 at Firhill In 1921. This cup was for the winners of the Scottish Cup against the winners of the FA cup. Or am I wrong about this? I've often wondered about that competition. How long did it run? Were winners' medals awarded? Where is the trophy now?

Scorers: Wilson, Blair and Kinloch. Att: 14,000. Team: Campbell, Struthers, Bulloch, Johnstone, Wilson, Harris, Blair, Kinloch, Robertson, McMenemy, Salisbury. Robertson at centre-forward made his one and only appearance for the club.
Garscube Road End
We won the Dental Cup as well. Where is that?
Jaggernaut
We won the Dental Cup as well. Where is that? That's on display in the boardroom at Firhill. Massive thing!

potty trained
Some commented after Thistle's win that it was a somewhat toothless display from rangers. Edited May 20, 2013 by potty trained
Norgethistle
Correct. A one-off game between the two cup winners. Date: 19 sept 1921. Scorers: Wilson, Blair and Kinloch. Att: 14,000. So with us still being the holders then by right we are still the best team in Britain

As it was specifically English/Scottish cup winners and seemed to be regularly played,it would only take someone to discover a governing body to get it recognised. Using the below list if anyone wants to make the effort you can correlate the cup winners with the fixtures and probably arrive at a reasonably comprehensive British Cup fixtures. http://www.rsssf.com/tablesa/angloscot-club.html
