cjptfc
I'm told that Ross County paid Rotherham £8,000 fee for the loan, covered 100% of his wages and paid for a flat for him.
Members Willjag
Good investment if he helps them avoid the drop.
jags on tour
he would probably have to have bought his own shirt, shorts and socks coming to us!
Noel Edmonds
I'm not sure why there's such a seethe about missing out on him. It's clear that Ross County simply made him a much better offer, and given there's quite obviously other areas of our team which need to be given priority in this window (i.e. defensively), would we really be happy about pushing the boat out for Tidser and in turn potentially missing out on strengthening in other positions like centre half, left back, defensive mid? He would have been a good signing, but there are other positions which should be of greater priority for us now IMO.
mhs
We don't even know if Archie wanted him. All speculation. I am not aware of any mention of Tidser from Archie or PTFC to date. Edited January 4, 2014 by mhs
The Cup
We don't even know if Archie wanted him. All speculation. I am not aware of any mention of Tidser from Archie or PTFC to date. Maybe we could afford him but Archie thought we could get someone better for that amount like with Paton.
erty13
He is good at passing, but really slow. I think we have enough cover for this type of player.

Mad Mull Jag
was he even mentioned as a target by the manager ? all just paper talk no doubt stirred up by an agent to try and get his player a move or a better deal Dont think he would be the answer to our problems, we need an attacking midfielder that can get past people quickly and create space for the striker(s) and chip in with a goal every now and again not another midfielder that loves a sideways pass
AlgarveJag
... we need an attacking midfielder that can get past people quickly and create space for the striker(s) and chip in with a goal every now and again ... Has anyone suggested the boy Erskine at Dundee Utd; I'm not sure he fits in up there and you just described him eloquently?
jagfox
The manager and club do not mention transfer targets for obvious reasons. Transfers are only mentioned when the deal is done.
Veejag
Jagfox: "The Jags boss said: “There’s been no progress on the loan move for Farid El Alagui. We just made an enquiry to his club and that’s as far as it’s gone." Daily Record, Christmas Eve.
jagfox
An enquiry about availabilty, fair enough. In my view it was a smokescreen to get Taylor. Not a confirmation that a transfer move had been made
The Cup
Archie is like a transfer ninja. Ducking in and out of the shadows to throw Derek Adams of the trail.

I don't think there's any shortage of names to support that Main thing is he keeps any possible deals close to his chest till either signed or out the window.
