Lambies Lost Doo
Moved from 20th to 19th September for tv which is good news for me as I was away that Saturday. Will still get a decent crowd as it's a local derby. Edited July 25, 2014 by Lambies Lost Doo
Mediocre Pundit
I'm happy with that too - means I can definitely make it.
lady-isobel-barnett
How does the revenue work here, re TV? A Jags v St Mirren game is always going to draw one of our largest home crowds. As seen from last season the crowd at the Friday night St Mirren game was below expectations*. Perhaps by as much as 1000-1500. There's also a likely drop in revenue from hospitality (now back in house). Someone else pointed out that our home crowds will drop as it is this season. This could be another downer re that aspect. Gut feeling tells me a Fri night game against the Accies would've been commercially preferable. *If you mind at the time that game given both clubs league position looked almost as crucial as the Morton game the previous season. Imo a crowd then of just under 6000 was very disappointing. Even tho' the Morton game was exceptional I'd have thought our crowd wouldn't have been circa 3000 less. TV coverage must have been a major factor.
jaggy
suits me as I'll get to see a live tv game. I'm home just now & very disappointed we have no home game this weekend or during the week before I go back
buchanio
It was pissing the last Friday game against St Mirren so that may have put off the non committed.! I think the crowd will be a good one if we get a positive start to the campaign.

I too expect a healthy enough turnout but how healthier would it be if it wasn't televised? Do we get direct compo for this or are the TV monies simply pulled and divvied out? buchanio
Don't think it's classed as compo, just a straight fee for the privilege of showing the match.

No payment on a league game by game basis. Payments are pooled and paid out at the end of the season dependent on the position we finish in the league. Cup games are paid on a game by game basis(it used to be £82,500 not sure what it is now) Edited July 25, 2014 by G SUS
