  1. Its easy to forget Tam O'Ware seeing as he has been just about as injury prone as Mustapha Dumbuya. At 28 he fits your description as being in the peak of his career. Although he has been hugely disappointing, hopefully he will use that frustration as motivation and be fired up to recapture the form he demonstrated at Morton
  2. Thanks for that. Going by the graphic we sold 1926 season tickets in our final season following a top 6 finish. It would then be remarkable if we were able to beat that this season. In saying that, following the COVID outbreak and the lock downs, there could be a surge in the number buying, either because they have found a renewed enthusiasm or as a means of a donation should the restrictions still be in place for the start of next season
  3. The Mulgrew rumour may have more substance than I initially gave it credit. I also think he would be a very decent signing for us, giving us a solid foundation with Brownlie, Foster and Holt. If we can add Tiffoney with another quality attacking midfielder I dont think we will be too far away. The level of quality could/will be determined by the quantity of season tickets sold. On that last point, Im curious to know how many season tickets were sold when we were in the premier league.
  4. You're getting mixed up with an episode of Red Dwarf when Lister believes his real name is William/Billy Doyle
  5. I had the same issue last week when I tried to get mine
  6. McGinty at Somerset Park brings back a distant nightmare. First league game of the season after our relegation from the Premiership. McGinty selt the jerseys early on giving away a daft penalty from which we never recovered. Hope he's as good for them as he was for us.
  7. Getting our excuses in early
  8. Proud of the team tonight. It was a joy to watch and the quality was something thats been missing for many a year. Banzo was unbelievablely good. I've been critical of him in the past but his work rate and tackling in the first half kept us on the front foot. Rudden and Graham playing off each other was incredible. To win 5 nil 2 days after a tough away game was some effort. We were unrecognisable from the clueless goal shy shite we had seen for too long. Well done to one and all involved and hope this is just the start of our journey back to the top
  9. That was unbelievablely ridiculous penalty to concede, there was absolutely no danger at all. East Fife and Clyde are in a separate section from us so don't see how that will affect our side. We can only win it ourselves and not worry about getting handed anything. Come oan Thistle
  10. He would need to be accompanied with an adult
  11. If were a goal or two ahead then they might not have the legs to recover from that later on in the game. As you said though, it really is a must win game for them so I cant see them sitting in which will leave space for us to hopefully take them apart with the pace of Tiffoney and Rudden.
  12. I think we need to start with the same team if possible to the one that battered Airdrie in the 1st half. We need to take the game to them again however this time take our chances when they come. Finishing is certainly something we need to be working on as the amount of sitters we've missed this season I've not seen since we had big Ade Azeez. I dont think we can play not to lose by taking a defensive approach. Cove have played as many games as us in the same period of time so tiredness cant be an excuse for us to make a lot of changes. If we start the game like we did at the weekend, be composed in front of goal, we should take the spoils back home to Maryhill
  13. Brilliant result although it would have been better for everyones health if we could have killed them off with those missed chances in the 1st half. Dont know where we stand now for the Covid rules but it would be good if we could re-create the JLS singing section (with social distancing) on the canal bank on Thursday night and get the team over the finishing line. Its a shame really that were still in this pandemic and no fans are allowed back in. I would imagine Thursdays game wouldnt be far off the attendance we seen when we played Morton that memorable Wednesday night just over 8 years ago.
  14. Going by that picture it was only a foot over the line so perhaps not as clear cut as thought. As I said before, that picture sums up how much goal he had to aim at, and by putting it back towards the centre of the goal gave the ref a decision to make. In the end, we won, so who cares now. We move on to the first of 4 cup finals
  15. Absolutely brilliant result. The feelgood factor is returning. On the ghost goal, the picture that apparently shows the ball over the line, the ball is in the air so at that moment its not over the line, at the point the keeper gets it, it most likely was, but I couldnt believe Rudden knocked it back toward the keeper with the goal at his mercy. The ref shouldnt have had any doubt if it was a goal or not. Having said that, im delighted he did manage to score and he hope he continues to improve.
  16. I dont see the difference from what we have the now. There will only ever be two clubs in Scotland that can win the league. The financial gap between them and the rest of the Scottish clubs is only going to get greater. In terms of Scotland and England, the broadcasters give England billions of pounds every year. Scotland get a tiny fraction in comparison so how are our clubs ever going to be able to compete in Europe? All these pundits on Sky are hypocrites. Scottish football and stadia are stuck forever in the past forever while we watch the product of the border disappear over the horizon. Scottish football was on par with our English counterparts up until 92. Where was the UK government then? Back in yer box Scotland.
  17. Add a couple of goals early in the second half and bring on Sena for the last 15 minutes for my coupon
  18. Be months before ye get your phone back going by our results. Going by the content of Bobby's posts I would be surprised if he was legally allowed by law to consume his cargo. I cant believe there is someone in their 50/60s that conduct themselves in that manner
  19. We have potentially 12 games in 6 weeks if the split goes ahead, dont think thats excessive for a full time team. Can see how the part time teams would struggle but surely this has to be to our advantage.
  20. Give the lad a chance. He has scored 6 goals in 39 appearances, the guy is still only 22. Kevin Nisbet scored 8 goals in 57 appearance when he was 22., now Hibs are turning down 7 figures for him. Wait till he misses as many sitters as Azeez before slating the boy
  21. I see Queens Park have signed Salim Kouider Aissa on loan. He's going to be a huge miss for us, I wonder who else will take his place in the treatment room
  22. In that case I'd take Mark Roberts back again. Reckon he would still do a job in this pub league
  23. I would like to think we would start to see some return for our investment
  24. Will Rudden be fit to feature in the remaining fixtures?
  25. I watched the Hearts game on Friday night and it was absolutely mince but it had me thinking, this is the stuff we were accustomed to see every week for quite some time. Do I miss 90 minutes of frustratingly bad passing, aimless kicks up and out the park, unworked keepers, probably not. It just goes to show but, even teams with a budget like Hearts are all playing the same way. For so called professional full time teams, its merely trumped up amateur stuff. Guys like Neilson thinking their Guardiola with their tactics and guff. 60 - 70% possession looks good but when none of it is in the final third, your just kidding yourself on. I mean we had games were we were going 45 mins or more without a shot on target against part time teams. So to answer the question, "wha's missing the fitba", im afraid to say, no me
