  1. I think the section games in the league cup are just like the national league games for international teams. Competitive friendlies.
  2. Morton had him on loan after us. He then went to MK Dons and Dundee Utd got him from them.
  3. No idea of his age when he came to us. The following is from the programme, D.O.S. 28/5/2009, previous club PTFC U17. Also has A against his name which means Academy Graduate.
  4. Norman 'Bite Your Legs' Hunter. Unlike some modern day players, he didn't actually bite anybody. Part of a very good, talented and physical Leed's side of the early 70's.
  5. Only played 1 league game, but played league cup and Glasgow cup games. Sold to St. Mirren for ÂŁ50,000 in 1978.
  6. If I remember right we had both the Scotland under 21 goalie Thompson and the main team goalie Rough on our books at the same time.
  7. One advantage of being a certain vintage. Is being able to say 'I was there'.
  8. Phil has done tremendous work with his fundraising for Thistle over the years. I would also like to thank him for asking me to present the Doolan 100 trophy, which he asked me to do in Robert's memory. Phil also raised the majority of the money that paid for the memorial plaque in Robert's memory. Which is in the John Lambie stand. The rest of the money was raised by Digger by doing a collection at the Ross County game 1st April 2017. I am glad that Thistle have recognised Phil's achievements by putting it on the official site.
  9. The final will be at Hampden.
  10. I get it that, we do not want to become dependant on somebody always giving us hand outs. But if that person/family who has more money than most of us, wants to help us out, is that really such a bad thing. Should we not just say thanks.? If they are helping us out.
  11. We have a frame football team. Which is one of the ways for disabled to play football. Remember seeing them do a lap round Firhill during half time at a couple of games over the last season or two.
  12. Spot on Thistleberight. I hope Caldwell can do something similar.
  13. Was going to post about this, but I don't know how to do links to stories. Hope Keeley has a great night. I also hope her parents have a good time as it takes a lot of support from parents to get the kids, particularly disabled kids to these events.
  14. Sorry but have you not got mixed up with the play The Pieman Cometh, which is at Firhill next month.
  15. A good statement. Like with the manager I will judge her with how things go in the new season. I have no problem with it being released the same day as season tickets go on sale, as we need to sell as many as possible, to get as much money into the club as we can. Hope it does persuade anybody who wasn't sure about buying one to do so.
  16. When Jack Ross took over at St. Mirren, he struggled until the January window, they just stayed up and then won automatic promotion the next season. Lets hope Thistle can do that .
  17. Would be great to see a current jag score in a cup final.
  18. Unfairly described as a headless chicken on this forum in the past. He is the sort of player Caldwell wants, gets in about the opposition and presses them.
  19. Never thought we would find somebody to fill Stevie Fulton's jersey, but I reckon Boyd would.
  20. The Bunnet will be back in the home dug out at Firhill next season, which is now the away dug out.
  21. And then on the park.
  22. Very informative and good on the club for releasing this in a box set for us who couldn't manage. Only slight criticism is when ever somebody asked a question from the audience I couldn't always hear them. Caldwell said judge him on results, more than happy to do that.
