  1. Is he, with 150 appearances, the player to make the most PTFC appearances having begun his Firhill career on loan? The only player I could think of that would even rival him is Billy Gibson who I imagine he has already passed.
  2. It's a cup replay, which is allowed to be played against UEFA CL. It's not allowed to be televised which is why there are little/no streams of the game floating about.
  3. It's not true. Dick Campbell is the longest serving manager in the SPFL having served for over six years. Jackie McNamara is the longest serving manager in the SPFL PREMIERSHIP. The SPFL covers all divisions from the Premiership to League 2. It irks me that the media, and supporters, continually get this wrong.
  4. Out of curiousity, what would you like to see in it that would make you sign up for it?
  5. Dundee United have had this reciprocal agreement in place with other clubs this season. Production of a season ticket gets you in as away supporter for £15(I think). I believe Thistle are one of the clubs who have agreed to this so when we travel to Tannadice in Feb ST holders will get in for £15.
  6. The compliance officer issues Notices of Complaint to players on Mondays. It is presumably sent First Class post to the clubs. In a bid to keep transparency, they've announced every player that they have issued of a NoC to, which they do on a Tuesday(so the player/club have notice of it first). Hayes came out on social media this afternoon saying he had done nothing, but the SFA had already issued the NoC and have to be transparent and publicise it. Paton will reject the 2 game ban, the hearing will be on Thursday and he'll be cleared.
  7. Goal difference is irrelevant. It'll come down to head to head if teams are locked on points.
  8. The 15 points Thistle have after 12 games is the best start to a top flight campaign, after 12 games, since 1992/93 when we would have had 16(obviously at this stage it was 2pts for a win so I've changed it into the current 3pts for a win format) 10 different players have scored for Thistle in the league this season. At this stage last season we had only 5 league goalscorers, so I'm not really sure we need more goalscorers.
  9. Doolan scored a goal every 183 minutes - 8th best in Premiership Taylor scored a goal every 216 minutes - 19th best in Premiership
  10. The East Stirling game in August 1982 was a League Cup game. The last time we opened a League Campaign with a 4 goal victory was 1970/71, as has already been pointed out by The Jukebox Rebel.
  11. Guarenteed to be in the Semi Finals of the Milk Cup. Will play one of: Manchester United CSKA Moscow Vendee in the semi finals.
  12. No payment on a league game by game basis. Payments are pooled and paid out at the end of the season dependent on the position we finish in the league. Cup games are paid on a game by game basis(it used to be £82,500 not sure what it is now)
  13. He did. Came on as a HT sub and bagged a hatty as Dunfermline won 4-1. Season 2009/10 I think.
  14. Killie installing an artificial surface is excellent news for Thistle on a differing amount of levels. 1. When we visit Rugby Park we'll no longer have a rutted surface, instead the artificial surface will enhance our passing football, and since we've been playing it for several years we'll have an advantage over them. 2. Killie will now be training at Rugby Park, which will free up the Science Park at Glasgow Uni. This is an ideal time for Thistle to take up the lease on it long term(in exchange for hosting Glasgow Uni home Scottish Cup ties apparently). Glasgow Uni can be seen to be helping their local club and Thistle have a training base fit for a Premiership side. Think how much better that will look to prospective signings when we can show them our training base rather than hopping in a mini bus every day.
  15. You're thinking of different Shanklands. Lawrence Shankland, currently of Aberdeen, is the former Queens Park player who scored a belter against us in the 5-4 game is, I think, the one LiB is talking about. Mark Shankland, currently of Ayr United, is an 18 year old midfielder/attacker who is Ayr Uniteds youngest ever player and scored against us in the League Cup this season is the one Third Lanark is referring to, I think.
  16. I may have missed something, so apologies if I have. At the meeting on Friday it has been reported that free Under 16s ST's had to be taken in the Family Section. The club statement on Wednesday says nothing of the sort, which suggests a U-Turn. It states that for a reserved seat you pay £25. My interpretation of the statement is that you could sit with your kids in unreserved seats anywhere in the JH stand, just that you might move week on week if someone else has occupied an unreserved seat before you. If this is the case, and please feel free to point out where it says you must be in the family section if I've missed it, then I'd say the club has, again, listened to feedback from the meeting and acted accordingly.
  17. We'd be challenging for Europe! Aberdeen - 223 Celtic - 241 Dundee United - 221 Hearts - 153 Hibernian - 209 ICT - 146 Kilmarnock - 134 Motherwell - 163 Thistle - 222 Ross County - 146 St. Johnstone - 171 St. Mirren - 191
  18. Getting 37 points gives an 85% likelihood of finishing 10th or above.
  19. But that would make absolutely no sense. Are you suggesting a player who gets a ban in a first team game should be able to serve it in an Under 20s game? If a player was banned for X games then it should be served at first team level, as that is the "proper"(for want of a better word) competitive aspect. It's irrelevant anyway, GF didn't cause Hutton's leg break and despite a reporter tweeting about it to make it seem like he was, there was justifiably no reaction to it.
  20. No we weren't. Fraser's ban was for first team games only.
  21. Are you seriously suggesting Gary Locke and Alan Johnston are better managers than AA?
  22. I'd doubt it. Back in 2002/03 and 2003/04 both halves of the OF were in the SPL so they were more concerned with giving each team 3 home OF games, rather than caring which half it was visiting twice. We only played Aberdeen away 3 times in 2002/03. We played them at home after the split in 03/04 where we won 2-0 in the "West Ham" style away kit.
  23. From Inverness Website:
  24. Albion Rovers were going to be the club who missed out on the "Rangers money" in the League as they were relegated last season. Since then they have had a home cup tie and an away cup tie against them.

    Killie Game

Stuart Bannigans ban against Ross County was for the red card against Hearts. A 1 match ban which kicks in for the next first team fixture The red card issued to Stuart Bannigan, sent him over a disciplinary points threshold(points are issued for each booking and red card depending on the severity of the incident. 6 yellows usually leads to a suspension due to breaching this points threshold). Going over the points threshold incurred another 1 game suspension which kicks in 14 days after the card was issued. Since we played on the Sunday that weekend the first game played after 14 days will be St. Johnstone.
