Very excitable locals in Greenock today as far as you can tell from the stream. Seems as if the’ve not had their fresh meat ration, for quite some considerable time.

My memories of games at Cappielow are by no means universally happy ones. Plenty of skelpings and I don’t have the impression that we’ll have it easy today either. However, I just have this wee feeling that we’ll get a result from today’s game

The only positive things that I can say after that forty-five minutes is that 1. We’re not behind and 2. The last fifteen minutes or so we weren’t completely rank.

They’ll have to get their act together for Saturday.

I agree entirely in that we kept trying to at least play football on a pitch that in patches was more reminiscent of Ypres than a background to a professional football match. Even allowing for that, had it not been from a truly diabolical decision from Nick Walsh we’d have probably taken all three points. Nonetheless, I’m fairly sanguine about what the rest of the season has in store. Obviously, it’ll all no doubt rest on what kind of transfer window we have. If someone had offered me our current position, I’d have taken it to be honest.

If you’d offered me that score line before the match kicked-off I’d probably have taken it. Considering our lack of game time recently I’m even more resigned to being happy with the result

Is it just me, but does today’s weather and lack of spectators make New Douglas Park look even more Godforsaken and depressing than usual?

As usual with Thistle, it’s very difficult to predict what kind of display we’ll see? However, I’ll stick my head on the chopping block and plump for a Jags victory. Don’t know if that’s based on realism, optimism or faith. Probably the latter if I’m being honest.
