  1. Glad no one is suggesting the club push the boat out to keep these players. Also glad we're not offering 3 year deals on SPL wages, when we've seen too often clubs being relegated and spewing money, Dunfermline springs to mind. They go with my best wishes and hopefully Archie will find better replacements. Seems McNamoney rates these two above any of his own signings............
  2. We've had more than our fair share of poor managers. It's not always their fault they're crap but I think the people who appoint them seem to get off lightly. DJ and Sandra were pish, but under Campbell the football was shocking and as soon as the opposition scored I knew we were going to lose at least 1.0, not a very nice feeling. At one point I didn't think we'd ever see a decent manager again. So to have 3 relatively successful appointments in a row has restored my faith a bit.
  3. Was delighted that football won over the long ball game. Martin Hardie is a dinosaur. Thought that when Morton made their changes and pushed up the park it left them exposed and felt that we could have scored again and if anything it let us back into the game. We weren't bullied by Morton tonight unlike previous games. The performance was so much better than Sunday and hopefully that will be reflected by the media.
  4. Man of the match tonight.
  5. Is that what is meant by take one game at a time?
  6. Not defending refs they make some howlers. However most decisions they make will piss off one set of fans. Don't know how many times there's blatant free kicks and the opposing fans are screaming about the injustice. What gets right up my humph is players claiming for throw ins, corners etc when the ball has obviously come off them.
  7. Neither should be mentioned in the same breath as Roddy Grant. Craig's in possession and unfortunately for Doolan doing nothing wrong that would deserve to be dropped. If Doolan gets the nod due to injury or a dip in form then I'm sure most people would be comfortable with Doolans inclusion.
  8. Thankfully I forget a lot of Thistle games, which maybe is a good thing. But one that sticks in my mind was a wet and windy night at Crappielow. Nelson Still came out for a high through ball and realising he was out his box headered the ball. Up in the air it went and caught in the wind it blew back towards the goal. The Morton forward ran through and tapped in from 3 inches to avoid the own goal. Think we lost 2.1. The minute it happened I remember questioning why I bothered.
  9. Another away win and another clean sheet. Muirhead was my man of the match. Poor first half, better second. Hamilton resorted to type and kicked their way through the second half. Elliot looked good when he came on last week and continued that today. This is the only league in Scotland that is not already settled, surely it deserves more media attention?
  10. If this is true then surely Thistle need to get the stewards reigned in a bit.
  11. I blame Neil Lennon, UEFA must have passed his letter onto the SFL.
  12. Think the rule is vouchers before 60 minute mark. Game conveniently abandoned at 63 minutes. To be honest couldn't see a lot after about 30 minutes. Fans fleeced again. Cowdenbeith fans were raging. Should have been stopped at half time when it was 1 -1.
  13. If you think this is negative wait until we actually lose a game!
  14. It has been a good start under Archie, he has inherited a good side with players who want him as manager. The true test will be when he has to build his own team and whether he can spot a player and get the best out of them. I think his slightly less adventurous approach should hopefully lead to improvements in the away form.
  15. Perhaps Firhillfill could give us an opinion on the Morton performance as he wasn't at this game either?
  16. If you thought that was a slagging you must be a sensitive soul. As stated elsewhere a much more balanced appraisal than some of the pish that I've stopped reading on other threads.
  17. We're not going to win the league on Saturday and we're not going to lose the league on Saturday. Still loads of football to be played.
  18. At the end of the article there's a number of reasons why Archie and Shaggy should get to at least the end of the season. If the players are behind them, recognise Archie's contribution thusfar and they have the benefit of being directly involved, that might be enough to persuade the board to give them a shout. It would also be the cheaper but not necesarily the worst option.
  19. Might have to get to the end of the cue though.
