  1. This seems to be a continuation of an ongoing decline over recent years, so I don't think you can lay a lot of emphasis on lack of early signings. It also comes at a period when we've seen an improvement in the football played and a time of relative success. So I'm at a loss to the solution. Maybe the club could start by contacting supporters who haven't renewed over the last couple of seasons to see if there is a clue there.
  2. Good that the club are looking at things differently and leading the way in looking at alternatives to the current burst model.
  3. Send your answers to the "Steven O'Donnell goal of the season competition" c/o PTFC.
  4. That was him. He was rubbish. Remember a young Kevin Bridges doing the hospitality over at the Aitken suite may moons ago.
  5. Think the split is a good thing for the team in our position. When your Motherwells / St. Middens/ Ross Countys play each other they can't all get 3 points.
  6. There must be loads of opportunities for one off functions, business meetings, parties etc. I think this would be the road to go down to increase usage. I know someone who tried to book the AR lounge for a party and didn't hear back from the club. He also tried to book a table for 10 for a Thistle function with no reply. On both occassions he contacted them a number of times. So a bit of professionalism can only be a good thing.
  7. If the reason for moving fans from the North Stand is genuinely because of the admin problems it creates then surely to come up with the solution they have shows a total lack of professionalism. In any business when problems arise you look at any number of solutions and assess them for the impact on your customers. In this case the solution is to suit the club and the customer has not even been considered. I'll hold onto my JHS season ticket money until I hear the "real" reasons for this.
  8. Time for change at Firhill, after beating Aberdeen in an unguarded moment of joy I agreed to go to Dingwall next week. This isn't good enough Archie, I won't get those hours back listening to people talking sh!te on the supporters bus. Get yer act together or chuck it. Take Shaggy with you.
  9. A Jackie McNamara team struggling away from home. Who would have thought it?
  10. Typical that's brave of you posting your absolute pish under a made up forum name. Sack the board. I was moved from the North stand for a game.
  11. Baird isn't getting a game. Big Gabby put in a couple of decent performances. So I suppose another scapegoat was required. Step up James Craigen. Once he's been dropped / injured / improvement in form they'll be looking for someone else.
  12. The lengths some people go to shit stir obviously knows no bounds.
  13. I wonder how many tickets were pre sold, both clubs would have this information before match day. This would give an indication on the possible crowd size / number of turnstyles to open. All too often you go to grounds with about 10 turnstyles and only 3 or 4 open,
  14. Nice Daily Record atricle about ex old firm players Stephen Pressley and David Weir, who'd have thought it?
  15. A couple of victories and the usual suspects will change their tune and be demanding that "Archie must go!....to the palace for his knighthood"
  16. It would be time for big changes if the St. Middens, Killies and Hearts of the world were beating us 4.0. Aberdeen are light years ahead in terms of budget etc and seem to finally have found a decent manager. Not nearly time to press the panic button.
  17. Never watch the old firm live. Will only watch the highlights once I know that they've lost.
  18. Still concerned about the lack of a home win. Confused as to why when traditionally it is the case that being at home is an advantage. Can't question the ability as they've proved that away from Firhill and can't fault the surface. So if it's not physical, is it the weight of expectation from the home fans causing them to be slightly more cautious? Didn't expect a lot from the 3 games so the points at Inverness is a bonus, hopefully some of the pressure will be off.
  19. Great player as has been said man of the match every time he's played for us. Was a bit worried yesterday with the early booking and a ref that was prone to dodgy decisions, didn't put the big man off his stride.
  20. I wouldn't even make any effort to juggle the day around to do that.
  21. When you do go back to the North Stand don't be singing I'd walk a million miles for one of your goals.
  22. There has been suggestions on here that moving the Thistle fans out of the North stand for the Celtic game is only being done to maximise income. Surely having the Thistle fans in the North stand at all other games is costing the club money? Based on the assumption that as very few games will attract a crowd bigger than the capacity of the JHS and the North stand, the costs in stewarding / police etc for three stands must be more than having away fans in the North stand and home fans in the JHS.
  23. Was a frustrating night. Dominated the first 30 minutes and United looked really panicked. Couldn't believe we went in at half time 2.0 down. More even second half although I thought United gave the ball away a lot, Would love to see what an in form striker would do with the quality and quantity of possession we had.
  24. Couldn't be at the game. Has the booing started yet?
  25. With a young team that is playing great free flowing football there will be times when passes will be misplaced. So accept that this is going to happen. I heard a couple of "experts" suggesting they get the ball up the park. I assume a hoof to their centre half is more acceptable than Conrad misplacing a couple of passes.
