Gary Peebles?

Not sure how many have played but I did get talking to some German fans in The Shed many years ago. I worked in Germany in the late 80's for a short time and was interested to know how they'd managed to find themselves at Firhill. One of them had the surname Fissell and so decided to follow Thistle. He'd just named his new born son Patrick. I've told that story to my own son Eintracht, a few times.

I'd be more than happy if the two current co-managers got the job(s). I've seen and heard enough to support that choice and their enthusiasm for the club is clear. Grahams leadership on the field has never been in doubt, as far as I'm concerned and it would feel like a massive mis-step and merciless quite honestly, if we just 'ditched' them at this stage. The treatment of McCall might not sit well with many of us but that is no reason to do the same to others.

Not trying to be negative about Low and you can see he has some great attributes. I feel he needs a degree of protection, as it would be demoralising if he were at fault for a defeat in such big games. To my knowledge, he hasn't had any minutes other than these games, so it's a massive risk to the team and to his confidence going forward. Needs must though as you say but I'd have gone with a 3 1 5 1 and left him out if at all possible.

As others have said, throw-ins were poor and the players receiving have to take some of the blame, as the movement was dire. BBG missed two sitters, especially by his high standards and I'm sure he'll be reflecting on that himself. Was a game too far for Low and I feel he should not have started. A player for the future by the look of it but maybe not for games of this magnitude. We did ok and were a bit unlucky not to take something from the game. The massive and unnecessarily large squad we had leading up to the half-way point in the season (according to some at least), looks like it is much needed now. Anyway, on to Friday. We're still in this but need to score first. Then we'll see what they're made of.

Good to see Taylor and her mate in Ayr last night. Heard they were partying in the Savoy til late on.

To a man they did AJ and who knows what will happen next. No matter what, I wouldn't want to be anything other than Thistle.

Only a couple of pass marks tonight. Difficult in the middle with Turner as poor as he is and I feel that's our real problem position.

It's a fair point but it's situational. Would love to attend every game and am jealous of those that can but a 700 mile round trip and full time work make it difficult. I go as often as I can and support the club in other ways, as many do. In any case, my view of how poor artificial surfaces are wouldn't change. I've been to Livi and the pitch is mince whether watching live or on the tele.

Pitch is a disgrace. Can hardly see the ball.

Great course and played it a few times in the 90's, whilst on holiday. Remember 'The Wee Drap' fondly. Good times.

I usually do ok with my choice of Thistle games and have seen some cracking encounters over the years. Avoiding Raith could be the answer, as I remember a drab 0-0 v them at Firhill many years ago. Was late to the game and heard the bar rattle (John Flood maybe), as I walked behind the city end terracing. That was as good as it got that day.

Just got home today and had a great trip other than the Thistle and Scotland games. Deary me, they were bad. Enjoy being in Glasgow so much and can't wait for the next one. Cheers Cotter

5 yellow cards from 14 fouls seems a lot. I'm sure the ref was fair as per usual.

Good to see that an 'easy' home draw and a dodgy last second penalty, with a hopeful VAR check for a retake, doesn't always get you through to the next round.

All has a very familiar feel to it, including being harshly treated / cheated by refs.
