  1. He has just kicked it back to the SFA
  2. Heart supporter obviously have someone listening to it for their kickback site, but their site has just crashed.
  3. Good article on the BBC by Tom English, thought it was going to be all about Hearts but his real sympathy was with Thistle. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53062777
  4. Although I have no great liking for him he does have a point, how can you be professional if you are part time. For years we have said there’s to many teams. I don’t want any club to die, but every club has to find its level, if they are a ‘community’ Club with only a few hundred supporters then that is what they are, my only concern is that is the way Thistle are going, but hopefully not. What worries me more are the idiots in charge at the SPFL, they are going to discuss reconstruction at a divisional level, turkeys voting for Christmas again. They are only discussing what suits them and not consider the big picture. Time for everyone to get together and realise for once that unless things change nobody is going to survive this, including the ugly sisters.
  5. So why Hearts & Hamilton? The two teams with most to lose? Also Dundee would also lose, they are third and won’t get promotion so what have they been promised? We might actually be saved by this, although it would have been nice to have saved ourselves. We have always said that Scottish football is not a level playing field but now they must be considered more corrupt than FIFA.
  6. Very sad news, thoughts are with his family. RIP Colin
  7. Not Stevie but do sound a bit like Tam Cowan
  8. Don’t post very often but thought Steven McLean had a good game wasn’t fooled by ICT’s falling down tried to let the game flow, credit where credit is due.
  9. When in the last head to head have we won both legs? Not being negative just I have been a Thistle supporter for nearly 60 years and seen all these crazy scenarios before.
  10. Could it happen, even more now after tonight. If we draw with Ayr but get beat by QoS, both of us on 41. Morton draw with Dunfermline but are beat by Dundee Utd their on 41 but Dunfermline are clear on 42. Alloa beat ICT but not Ayr or vice versa, their on 41. Falkirk win both of their games (ok unlikely) but they would be on 41. So it would come down to goal difference, would the "ghost" goal come into play lets hope not. Also. Dunfermline could lose both games and they stay on 41 but Morton would be clear on a minimum of 43.
  11. Some on here were questioning Stuart's loyalty, well you now have your answer, especially if you have watched his Jagzone interview. So if he stops going to ground so fast and picking up silly bookings we will have a team captain to build a team around.
  12. From where I was sitting high up in the JH Stand almost in line with the Linesman’s view the ball was over the line. The front of the ball may have been just on the back of the line but from the frantic waving of his flag the Linesman was convinced it was over.
  13. I was told Joe Cardle is training with us as well after leaving AFC Flyde.
  14. Similar story, if I remember correctly it was very cold midweek game at Recreation Park, Alloa and I took my young brother. We stood at the front against the metal rail so he could see. Bobby tried to kick the ball up the line and it went straight out. My brother turn to me and said "I could do better than that", which Bobby heard, he came over and with a rye smile said "you probably could son".
  15. Exactly, I have watched Thistle for nearly 60 years and we have rarely had a big target man. Steven Craig, Ally Graham, Paddy Keogh, we had them all at the end of their careers. We seem to have relied on small forward, maybe why we don’t score enough goals. But saw Jai Quitongo up close today didn’t do a lot in the limited time he had on but looks quite physical and could work defenders, hopefully he will get a chance and stay fit.
  16. The missing football brain was the manager’s, we play a team that hasn’t won a game and on AstroTurf even amateurs know how to play on it, as is shown by them narrowing the park. You punt the ball forward to a target man how knocks it back or falls down for a foul, which just happened to led to their goal. You don’t try to play wingers or overlapping fullbacks because it is just too tight. You run at them right through the middle or dink the ball over the defence and try and turn their defenders. What annoys me is l can see this but the so called professionals can’t. Sorry but not a great start Gary
  17. Two in one year, end of an era, very sad.
  18. Especially as they played in blue today. Was sitting in the stand and surprise d to hear a Stenny fan say “That is no Thistles usually strip is it” as he looked towards a terracing cover in supporters wearing red and yellow.
  19. Kris always speaks well in his interviews and shows a high level of intelligence in addition to his obvious skills when it comes to scoring goals. Hopefully, he can pass all of his attributes on to the younger players and we can reap the benefits in the future. Future manager?
  20. He is English, we talk about going down to London, they talk about going up to London, so the other way for them has to be down. The only thing we should really worry about is if he knows his way to the opposition's goal.
  21. If I understand the rules correctly Dunne didn't have to touch the ball, only make an attempt to play it from an offside position, thereby influencing play.
  22. I assumed from the minimal information supplied on the official website we were being allowed to sit in our season ticket seat and the visitors were being allowed to sit in the Main Stand and run the risk of their fellow supporters incinerate them with their persistent desire to let off flares?
  23. Not working on PC but have got it working on an Andriod device.
  24. Was working then died about 15 minutes before kick off and hasn't come back yet.
  25. Thanks TJB (stats man) must have been the '83 game
