Hankey
New application, is it not the same as was rejected before? Richard Nixon
"Use of existing pavilion as combined office and therapy centre"? What a load! I don't know how you could fit flats onto that land, unless they're Barbie-doll sized.

Jagtastic
Was one of the original proposals (from way back) to retain South Drive access underneath the new structure? Similar to access behind North Stand? edit: Doesn't look like it takes out the road going by the model images at the side on ZM site anyway. northernsoul
They are the same designs and proposals that were presented four years ago. I knew waiting for the property market to recover was an issue but sadly it looks like the ball has started moving on this front. Norgethistle
Would it not be nice if the club made a statement that they were trying to get planning permission rather than a fan stumbling on it.... better communication and all that

Fawlty Towers
Is that not George Francis's role But remember that George works for Partick Thistle not Firhill Developments. Anything that is put out in the press will have to be agreed by both parties. So for those in the property market game - is the market picking up and what sort of money would a deal like this be worth?

ian_mac
This is yet another topic that would have been ideal for the proposed supporters federation meeting that was meant to happen in pre-season. Maybe the club feel that the supporters don't need to be consulted on this development, but I would argue that we as supporters are major stakeholders in this project. I would hope that the club will now come out and tell us a little more about these plans.
ScottyDFA
Are the club not majority shareholders in the development company? No. Where did you get that idea?
read'n'yell
Pretty sure Partick Thistle Football Club own 50% of it.
Norgethistle
No. Where did you get that idea? No idea but went back through your detective work (which was very good) PTFC has 100 out of 596 'A' shares in Firhill Developments Limited (FDL). These 'A' shares are of nominal value (1p each) but confer voting rights, therefore the Club has a 16.78% say in any vote taken by the 'A' share holders. Three members of PTFC's current Board (Beattie, Allan, Dodd) hold, between them, 300 (50.33%) of these shares. also stated we (the club) would see around £7k from a £1.6 million sale Just as an example... If the Main Stand and City End were sold to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the issue of FDL Preference shares, and the sale realised £1.6M for FDL, The Club would stand to receive £7762. Happy to stand corrected if this is wrong. Edited September 5, 2014 by Norgethistle
Bleeding Gums Murphy
also stated we (the club) would see around £7k from a £1.6 million sale So I'm correct in saying 100% return on the investment at that price? Good going if you can get it.
