Lenziejag
Sounds like the main influence is the price to get in the ground as that is the headline price. The club should look at the breakdown of the match day income and by increasing the prices of the peripheral stuff like programme/food/Aitken suite, they could reduce the entry price which could attract more fans through the gate. Barney Rubble
Fans want a winning team on the park, that team costs cash and even more so in the top league. Players in the top league will be paid at least 50% more than the 1st, so that needs paying. Pay 1st division prices have a 1st division team, unfortunately I get that, but only up to a point. It's becoming increasingly evident that some sort of saturation point has been reached by football fans in this country over admission prices. For example, look at the recent backlash over the prices for Scotland's Euro qualifiers and the England game.
The Sunnylaw Jag
This isn't of course a new issue for football clubs but it's good to see that January 1969 the Jags where right on top of the issue. http://

For example, look at the recent backlash over the prices for Scotland's Euro qualifiers and the England game. Scotland or the SFA, could cover their costs for that game at a fraction of that admission price, if we drop our prices we would operate at a loss. Fair point Norge, but it doesn't negate the assertion that fans in general are being turned off by the rise in admission prices.

I agree, but that has been driven from the rise in wages driven by Sky
