CCjag
No great surprise! Just called Pittodrie and advised they are currently having a meeting and that there should be news available by 0930.
Dark Passenger
Evening Express journo has tweeted that the pitch is fine and the game will go ahead if the weather eases up, as expected.
lady-isobel-barnett
I'm getting a contradictory tweet from sports ed of Aberdeen Evening Express "Dons said a few minutes ago that pitch is fine and no inspection planned at the moment" that's about 30 min old Edited December 30, 2015 by lady-isobel-barnett
CCjag
As of 09:35 AFC advise match going ahead but call before setting off since this may change!
Dark Passenger
Why should fans call Aberdeen before they leave? Surely it's incumbent on the Dons to advise travelling supporters of any possible postponement or planned inspections?
H Wragg
Why should fans call Aberdeen before they leave? Surely it's incumbent on the Dons to advise travelling supporters of any possible postponement or planned inspections? Several tweets to them in the last hour or so have gone unanswered as well, which is a bit shite.
stillresigned
I vividly remember travelling all the way up to Pittodrie for a game circa 1982: only to find it had been postponed due to snow! I was certainly not a happy bunny; being a very poor student at the time.
partickthedog
Just phoned Aberdeen FC on 01224 650400. Person I spoke to was helpful and well informed. Pitch absolutely fine and weather clearing up. Seems virtually certain that game will be on and the only possible change would be if there were a totally catastrophic change in the weather. I presume that this is as much of a reassurance as we can expect to get at this stage.
eljaggo
Many years ago, a pal from Bonar Bridge phoned Ross County to check the kick-off time for a 2nd or 3rd January fixture at Dingwall against Thistle. The phone rang for ages before the guy answered and then asked if we could make it for 3 o'clock.

westertonjagfan
Now the Dundee/ Celtic game is off I wonder if BT Sport could send their crews a bit further north for a real game of football?
